When I had this, a week on the trickle charger cleared the fault.

Audi assist came out this morning, apparently it’s a sensor on the drivers side front shock where the cable to the sensor could of perished, but this shock was replaced in jan this year under warranty, so will get booked in ASAP

I've had this twice on my rear shocks, it's a ride height sensor. Had both DRC shocks replaced under warranty. My car is also running KW springs but did cause a problem with the warranty

When mine threw an error when the battery was a little low it said it was the front left level sensor but the DRC cars don't have a front left sensor, only air suspension cars have them on all 4 corners. DRC only has them on front right and rear left I think. I might have got that the wrong way round but I recall stripping half the front of the car away trying to find a sensor that doesn't exist. When I looked on the other side I could see it without stripping anything off.

It just broke, plain and simple. My cars get easy lives. N/S was replaced - sold the car, then the O/S went a few weeks later, new owner informed me. Cardiff Audi sorted both sides. Accordingly they said they had seen a few in with the same issue. Hence, when why went for my PE, I went for one with std air; I can't tell the difference tbh - drops ride height in dynamic mode and stiffens up to the point I stick it in individual mode, usually.

I think it’s a lottery, one buys a car and nothing broken, another buys and car breaks in few months

I had my car in 2 separate times the rear driver side failed then 6 months later the rear passenger side. Both times audi dundee said it was the level sensor. Wasn't aware they didn't have that on all corners. They were replaced under warranty anyway

I’ve just got mine back after 4 months of being stuck at Audi Hatfield with a DRC issue. All four shocks were replaced under warranty/factory good will. According to Audi it’s a known issue with the C7 DRC.
Mine started with a knocking/clunking coming from the rear left and drivers side.

Yup, caused by the ‘lack of oil’ that had perished as a result of a fault.

Very expensive job as it needs DRC flush and very few places are equipped to complete a repair.

Good luck with it!
