Yeah, that looks a complete different level.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Not a C8 or RS7 but as quick as the C7
Ideally 4 doors
Up to 2 years old
Not too flash
Can be used day to day without falling apart driving along a la Maserati

Any thoughts?
What about used Mercedes amg gt63 s ? They outperform m5 competition and rs8 c8, maybe only looks not so sexy as c8 rs6)

Never been a fan of mercs - had a CL500 few years ago - spent more time in the dealership than on the road. Gone full circle and have come back with either an RSQ8 or RS6 in Noggy Blue - though not sure my balls are big enough for Noggy on a Q8.

Just can't think of anything thats as capable as the 6 in one package. Can't stretch to a G63 or Conty GT....

Did think 2018 DB11, and lose 2 doors, but reliability on a day to day basis scares me....

Will drive the 8 when the dealerships open and make a decision / toss a coin at this rate. Both so similar, one is a 6 on stilts.

The new mercs are nice places to be inside, much nicer than the Audi - it was one of the highlights of my E that I had between the RS4 and my current daily.

Most astons look really dated inside and the tech is old. The db11s a bit better but not much and that’s only because they’ve nicked some parts from merc

I picked up a 2015 Rapide S from a main AM dealer, so with Approved Warranty
Car was £55k, 2yr pcp and GFV was £49k!
So £5k in and £292 a month!
560PS V12
Car is mint and only done 26k miles

Ridonkulous
That's crazy! I mean there's a bigger gap than 6k between trade and retail surely :beerchug:

The trade value is already £5k underwater vs the GFV and the GFV is in Feb 2022! The bank are going to loose a packet

So unless they miraculously go up in value, the bank will take a 5figure loss on the car

After reading this post I stepped up my search for an alternative to the RS6 Performance, having already been looking for some time, and have just agreed a deal on a 19 plate Alpina B5 Bi Turbo Touring with only 3k on the clock. It's a completely different beast, as you may know, but still gives me 5 seats, immense power and a few other luxuries too like massage seats, pan roof, 4WD & 4WS plus night vision, HUD and of course it flies under the radar of most people's attention which will be nice for a change.

Having been an Audi man for many years I am slightly apprehensive of a brand change but, from what I have experienced so far with it, that will be short lived :bigblink:
Current: 2019 BMW Alpina - B5 Bi Turbo Touring
Current: 2014 Land Rover Defender 110 All Black
Previous: 2017 RS6 Performance - Misano Red with Black Styling Pack
Previous: 2014 RS6 - Misano Red
Previous: 2004 S4 Avant - Nogaro Blue
Previous: 2001 S3 Absolute Red

I’d go for Alpina B5. I tested one before choosing my C7PE.
Alpina were superb and the car was epic.
Only thing that put me off was the 65L fuel tank.Image
