There are quite a few old threads on the issue on here, and the general consensus, backed by an Audi Master Tech who I trust, is that the chassis is very sensitive to correct geometry.

This has certainly been my experience.

You need to get it to somewhere that has a good Hunter alignment rig, and then befriend the technician so that he puts in the time to get it spot on. My local Kwikfit has one, and they also offer a deal where you pay one fee ( £110?? ) and it gets you a check every 3 months for 2 years - that's what I did.

Been back three times so far and each time at least one of the measurements needed a tweak to get it back to spot on perfect, and each time the change was discernible under full power.

Hope that helps

Dave
I totally concur with Dave. I get my geo done at least once a year as it seems easily knocked out by potholes etc. I can tell when it needs doing as the steering gets heavy (like when in Dynamic mode), the lane assist seems to fight you, and the torque steer takes you VERY close to the other car when overtaking.

Problem is I can't see anything directional on the tyre wall AND there is 1 x Dunlop Sportmax on one side and 1 x Michelin Pilot Super Sport on the other. I had similar issues on an old car running odd tyres.

Thoughts?
So your mixing tyres and asking why your getting torque steer Image..

Preferably you should be running same tyres all around, then geo / wheel alignment that should see some of your issues lessen somewhat, you could also check your Wheels have been balanced

No, they were on the car when I bought it 6 weeks ago and are all pretty much new so will live with it for now.. Historically I run Michelins or Conti's and will do so again when I need to replace them.

Anyone know if these tyres do have a rotation direction?

Cheers
There not remoulds are they Image

Hoping it was the Sportmax that got punctured...

You couldn't make it up. When I bought the car they were mixed and the one with the least tread was a Dunlop Sportmax on the drivers side front. When I had the wheels refurbished the guys put them back so that it was same tyre on each axle (Dunlops rear, Michelin's front) which makes sense. So typical me I go and get a puncture on the front drivers side with a nice new (not remould) Pilot Super Sport on. Cost me £260.00 today. Whilst I was there they had a Hunter Hawkeye so I thought why not get my alignment done whilst I'm there. Went for walk down the high street for some window shopping, grabbed some lunch, go back to the fitters and the Hawkeye had packed up.

I've advised everyone to steer clear of me at the moment although I did win £2.80 on the Lottery last night. :jump_clap:
