Re: C8 RS6 finally revealed
Thanks for the configurator news.
It does seem odd that you lose so many options depending on the version of the car you select.
The Vorsprung just has too many options I don't need. The Carbon Black model seems to fit my spec requirements better, with a few additions like sports exhaust, although I can't have the cognac leather - not on the configurator. Perhaps something the dealer could add at a cost.

Re: C8 RS6 finally revealed
As per the dealer configurator, no changes so all I mention before is right unfortunately. Too many compromises to consider one of these now in terms of spec, wheels, styling pack availability etc on the individual models. I was really interested in one as well but the combination of price and spec availability (that I wanted) has put me off. I do think their decision to reduce the options available on each model will have a big effect on the sales as the competition (i.e. BMW) don't do this not to mention the offers they are throwing about at the moment. Probably a wise thing though as the specs will no doubt change in the future so I will actually be able to get what I want as well as potential higher discounts being available and potential performance versions. I have now turn my interest over to (now don't shoot me) an RSQ3 Sportback in a Vorsprung spec. I can get all of the specification I want in this and its around 45% less cost and I don't think the residuals will be too bad. Not the same I know but as a daily (which it will be) probably fine. I will await the backlashMichael_JCWS wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 12:51 pmIt’s live

Re: C8 RS6 finally revealed
No Cognac option on Carbon Black model as it has the grey interior styling pack I'm afraid. Also remember according to the configurator you cannot have the sound and comfort pack either, so no B&O, 360 camera's or keyless entry (advanced key)giles wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:19 pmThanks for the configurator news.

I think this will provide leverage on the orders. Will benefit all who are looking to potentially purchase a C8 or those already with a deposit down for the dealers allocation. If you don't want to share on the open forum - can you PM me - the alternative I guess, is CARWOW.comUberwagonRS6 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 7:30 pmI promised the dealer not to quote them but lets say it was not quite 10%

Re: C8 RS6 finally revealed
The wood interior on the Vorsprung was enough to put me off. No chance I want that.RSphantom wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:33 pmNo Cognac option on Carbon Black model as it has the grey interior styling pack I'm afraid. Re: C8 RS6 finally revealed
The limits on options and combinations are really annoying. The WLTP regulations have made ordering your perfect car almost impossible! I won't consider a car without HUD now, but I don't want the Vorsprung. Very frustrating.

That pricing is a f**ing p***take. The market will decide what they're really worth - they'll be some heavy discounting, I'm sure after a while.
At that level, you're not a long way away from a Panamera Sport Turismo.

Yeah I agree - someone told me the problem is PCP - people dont really give a <beep> about the price it's the monthly payments.Leonard Stanley wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 3:41 pmThat pricing is a f**ing p***take. Re: C8 RS6 finally revealed
I think the options will change once the car has been in production for a while, it's an Audi trait to be restrictive early on. That said, my preference would be to go for the cheapest model with cognac leather, standard air this time with standard steering, sports exhaust, roof and comfort pack would probably be enough. I would get the nasty alu lower trim bits wrapped and probably go for a set of Vossens, reckon that would set me back under £100k list, hopefully south of £90k with discount which is a bit more realistic. Anything over £100k after discount for this car is bonkers IMO.
