Maybe a Giulia Quadrifoglio but I was underwhelmed when I drove one last week.

I’m surprised given the attention and praise the usual suspects gave it in the press. Interior isn’t in the same class granted.

The interior and tech were clearly lacking but I knew that before getting into it. In Natural mode it seemed dead and unresponsive so went straight into Dynamic which improved throttle response etc but I felt it was a bit like driving the 6 in Dynamic mode but with the gear lever in D ie it felt like it wanted to be cruising around in top gear. In my 6 I can pull the gear lever into S mode and it will drop 2 gears and be ready for action. Didn't really grt that in the Alfa. Clearly there was race mode to try (which I didn't) but from reading up on it there is no mention it changes the gear sleelction or change up point over the Dynamic mode so not sure that will make any difference.
And the country lanes I went down were quite narrow and bumpy and had a lot of residential preporties so couldn't really hammer it through there like a rally stage to be impressed by the handling.
I'll probsbly still get one though as can't find anything else I'd rather have. Probably just need to adapt my driving style.

Geez, sorry to hear that Mike. Obviously I don't know you but your enthusiasm for the RS6 is loud and clear on this forum (does anyone on here have more posts that you?!?). I think the Alfa is a very cool car. I used to have a 1980 Spider back in the day and various Lancias too. Always had a thing for Alfas.

Bastards. That's such a shame Mike; it sounds like you've put heart and soul into the RS from reading your very informative posts. It's getting like the bloody wild west in this country, no fear of the "law" and certainly no respect for people's hard earned property.
Hope you get on with the Alpha if that's the way you go and certainly don't be a stranger on here!

I have just switched back to modified oem and it now sounds so quiet. Really miss the sound of the milltek.
