What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Hi guys
Coming from my m3 competition pack ive been looking for a rs6.
Ive been offered the following:
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... obcid=soc4
What you guys think of the spec?
This is what theyve offered me on the finance; plus they powdercoating the wheels for me free at first they quoted 100/wheel.
The deal is £655.66 X48 1 X £40,707.50 (GMFV)
This includes GAP insurance and Tyre and Alloy Insurance.
Shall i pull the trigger on this???

Please guys be quick lol
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Is it a Performance?
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
The spec is pretty standard but they are well optioned in base form anyway the big plus i suppose is that it’s a performance and relatively new and low miles.

Can't comment on spec but I'm in a similar position to you at the moment, what's size is your deposit and what APR is the finance on? (your figures add up to £72,178.68 so assume something is missing as the car is listed at £75k?)
If you're with Lloyds you could try their car finance product (around 4-5% APR) On a similar prospective PE purchase I could be saving the best part of £10k in interest payments over the dealer finance. My dealer also offered GAP/RTI cover at just under £1k, er no thanks, can source essentially the exact same cover myself for a third of the price. I guess tyre and alloy cover on an RS6 may be a wise investment?

Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Either your getting a big discount or the numbers are wrong somewhere.
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Its part discount. Im surprised the residual value is at 40k bmw on a brand new m5 over 4 years quoted me a residual of 30k.
Why is audi so much more? If think it to be less considering its prob the last ones before the new model
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Part discount part what?
Hard to say if value as depends on what the total cost is. The above is £72k ish, if your depositing 20k it’s a bad deal!!

Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Yes was going to put 15k + 3500 equity from my m3 comp pack.
I need the monthlies low as poss. What do you guys reccommend?
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Purchase price £75,000.00
Deposit £18,500.00
To fund £56,500.00
Monthlies £31,471.68 (48x £655.66)
Sub-total £49,971.68
Balloon £40,707.50
Total £90,679.18
You’re effectively paying £50k to drive the car for four years, £90k to own it outright. I think the APR on that deal is somewhere around the 8% mark, but the GAP and wheel insurance costs aren’t factored into the calculation as I don’t know what the individual costs are for them.
Using the same deposit & GFV the Lloyds monthly @5.4% APR would come in at £561.
I use this calculator to make sense of dealer finance as in my experience they always seem to treat you like a simpleton and expect you to agree that an APR of +10% is a great deal…

Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Not recently, they've been around a while haven't they? I seem to remember looking into them a good few years back and IIRC APR's were rubbish, but balloons were higher to offset and lower the monthly. Not sure if that's still the case now?
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Did you want air suspension over DRC?
Re: What do you guys think of this car and deal...
Get gap and all that from ALA for pennies. And I linked you to a very special example recently which belonged to Jason. I know what I would have done.
