Yep

Ive had this....and mike fish too

On my old C7 pre FL car.

Is your car lowered is my first question?

The car has two level sensors on opposite side of car...one front and one back diagonally placed....my rear one kept throwing up that error.

Something to do with lowering car, only seeemd to do it when car had a bit of weight in it.

Called a level sensor I think???

Think it was on rear o/s that was throwing code

Turned car off and it reset a couple of times

Sold car before I sorted it I'm afraid!!

Pm Mike fish I'm sure he had same issue??

Have you requested for the gearbox oil to be done as it's not a requirement as per normal audi servicing procedures?

Chris is right i had it too. I plugged my laptop in and it said it was a faulty level sensor (front right). I pulled the front right of the car apart looking for the front right sensor but just couldn't seem to find. Turns out the air cars have sensors on all four corners but the DRC cars only have 2 sensors; front left and rear right). It also turns out that the front left sensor can actually be seen quite easily without stripping the car apart!! Anyway there was nothing wrong with any of the sensors and I had a couple of other warnings flash up so thought it could be a low battery.

So I charged the battery for a few days and the fault went away and never came back.

I keep my battery topped up now and it seems to keep the errors away.

Same issue on C6, rear sensor can be temperamental. Esp when decked. Clean connections, check wiring, and reset codes usually sorts it. Reoccurrence means new sensor, pretty cheap and straightforward to DIY.

Ah OK, I enquirer with ZF and their authorised service centre in London quoted me just under £800 for the service. Supposedly audi don't have a service kit for the GB so everything has to be bought separately.

I'll let you know what they quote - if it's £800 then I will leave the gearbox as is.

They wouldn't do it, despite my protestations and stating I would happily pay for it. Said "sealed for life" - interestingly enough, service desk said yes £199 initially when booking car in; was only when it was actually on the ramps that I had a call to say no

Had the diff oil changed

Oil Service
Inspection
New Plugs
2 new windscreen wiper blades
Diff oil changed

£1100

Suspension Fault

Post by rtd » Mon Oct 30, 2017 8:58 am

ZF’s explanation of sealed for life from the Audi point of view is thus - Audi supposedly don’t expect to see the car past 60k miles which for them is the life of the car!

For those cars which stay within the network on a extended warranty - if the box went bang they would just replace it.

Even though I intend on keeping my car now for a few more years I’ve decided I will do the GB service.
