New RS7!!!

Post by SimonR » Fri Sep 29, 2017 5:44 pm

Oh my god! If this is what's coming out the Audi stable for the 2019 RS6, take my money!!
Imagine all the M5 and E63 customers who have ordered one for 2018, they'll be gutted. Looks like Audi had no intention of relinquishing the family rocket title.
It's got to go sub 3 seconds.

It will be close to £100k list and it looks like a S-Line. I went to see the new RS3 a few weeks ago and walked straight passed it, I think the S-Line actually looked better. I think they have taken understated to the extreme. The only correct looking RS on sale is the RS6, but I bet that gets the same treatment next time around.

Yes it will proboably be hit with the same ugly stick that the current range has been bashed by. And they hybrid version will weigh the same as small planet and cost the earth.

The pictures here are surely mock-ups? The RS7 hasnt been officially announced yet so any picutres are likely photoshops. These picutre look more like the current RS7 than the latest RS styling. I don't think the new RS7 will look much like that. In fact that looks almost just like the current one. And in temrs of aggression, the RS7 is not aggressive as the current RS6 anyway so I'd expect the new RS7 to follow suit. Andthe article says super saloon!! The RS7 is not a slaoon!

Definitely the current model. They haven't released pics of the new A7 so there's no chance they'd release the RS7 pics before especially as it'll be relased 12 months later.

Just nice to see some figures. I was at the RS5 launch in Cheltenham last month, the group sales manager had no idea about the next RS6. It had to beat the other GermNs by a significant margin to retain the crown and it looks to be doing that.
What struck me is how Audi seem to be narrowing gaps. There barely a second between the RS3 and the R8. Suddenly 40k in my pocket for a 4 to be .2 seconds slower than a 6 is looking quite attractive. Not the best move.

Haha Graeme I didn't mean the current RS7, I meant the current range of newly released RS models like the RS5 and to a lesser degree the RS4. I think the new RS7 will share many styling cues with these models.

True but beyond 60 any RS6,7 or 8 will pull significant meters on a 3 or anything else
