I am getting regulaly 220 miles to my tanks. Perhaps I have enjoyed the last 2000 miles too much!?

Surrey, so plenty of short blasts which clearly isn't helping. Addicted to dynamic mode, manual shift

Just thought I would add my comments to this one folks, I have an S6, and as much as I love my spirited drives in it, its also nice to know that when I need to/am forced to be sensible I can get 30mpg out of it.
I am off to the South of France in it from Scotland in four weeks time and if I could not get that kind of mpg out it when under normal driving conditions then I would have to be going in the wife's diesel Renault, so its a plus point for me that it can return a good mpg when under normal conditions.

Well my new record from a few weeks back (motorway driving, warm weather and a steady 70-80 mph) is 32.8 mpg which I'm chuffed with. Reckon it could hit 33-34 mpg. Best mode for max mpg would be full Comfort mode I found. Trouble is I then chuck it into Individual and Sport for the twisties and then all bets are off!

Overheard one of the Audi technical instructors on the stand at Goodwood telling a couple of potential customers that their RS6 'pool car' averaged between 2 and 6 mpg, and that they got around 60 to 70 miles on a tankful. I managed to prevent the punters from passing out by reassuring them that 25 is quite easily achievable, circa 20 in town.
