You'd think that it would be the downpipes + decat tune (700+)to hit that vmax.

How far is it?

I hit 179 in a 850 gtr on standing KM...

Depends where they put the timing beams, but usually around 1.5 miles.

They had a headwind last week so the big aero car's suffered. Veyron only did 199 & the 675LT's, mid 190's. Given the Evolve M5 got 191 or 193, the quoted RS6 must have been running 750+bhp at least.

I have good memories being in a TT V10 R8 hitting the rev limiter in 6th at 210!

May well be yours DK. I know Doug's insane B5 topped 200 through the beams several times, but not sure any other Audi has hit 210. Was that the trap speed or speedo?

Used to love going to vmax, last time was in 2010 when the 9ff stuffed it into the grassy mound at the end of the runway!
Back then-if i remember correctly- it was relatively cheap to take your car on (circa £175).
How much is it now and how do you get involved?

I wanted to go last year and couldn't get a look in... a place did come up and he wanted face value only and I'm sure it was £400.
So I didn't bother!!

It's £395 for those that have been in the past & up to £700 for Newbies.

Although i think the asking price is a little on the rich side compared to the good old days, it's a very different event nowadays with top class catering, hospitality & safety etc. Also draws significantly more expensive exotica than back in the days when it was Fez 360's TVR's a few tuned 996 Turbo's & many tuned saloons.

Also at the current events, you get to drive Astons newest & finest down the runway at full pelt which is certainly appealing for many.

Come to Terminal Velocity in Woodbridge Suffolk!, same 1.3 mile runway and only £125 for unlimited runs. I managed 186 mph which is pretty decent. imran is running 750 bhp but going hybrid turbos before our next event at the end of this month.

imran was unsure if the RS6 was modded but if it was it then ill get whipped too, been up against 900 bhp GTR's which only made 2-3 mph more than me, the ES 911's are something else though, Im good mates with all of them and been in a few of their cars

What spec is yours for 186?
I ran a 850 GTr and that would destroy my RS6 in current tune.
Best I've seen was at totb, gtr won that and pulled 225 in standing km. which is pretty mental.

Stage 2 mrc like most, running 710 BHP 1050 nm, they are also holding a rolling 1/2 mile race event in July that may interest some people, could help myself so entered that as well

My C6 demolished an Evolve F10 M5 few years back at VMAX.
He came up afterwards to say he'd never seen a 6 do him over like that before..
