50 hp only with catback even with stock downpipes not bad, but as I know you no need to do remap if you just install Miltek non resonated catback and leaving downpipes stock
The 50hp increase he is talking about is for a turbo back exhaust not cat back and that is combined with a remap. A milltek cat back will give similar gains to the akra but for a lot less cash.

Thanks Mike, so what hp gains you think can be only with Miltek non resonated version and everything other stock?

I assume you mean cat back and not turbo back? Same as any other cat back including akra; better noise and little else.

I remember having this debate with Direct Line who - at the time - wouldn't insure my S4 with a Milltek cat back (and zero other mods)

Milltek Derby kindly emailed me that super unleaded would make more difference to performance (bhp) than a Milltek cat back. Alas it was no use, I had to change insurers

(this was 7 years ago, I think Direct Line have since started accepting mods again before I make anyone panic!)

Yes only catback (no turbo back)

Have to say I am very impressed with the Akraprovic, basically gives it added deep burble, just nice , not too loud, almost the same as in dynamic mode on the standard exhaust when in comfort setting, yet in dynamic really opens it up. Have to say I like the tips too. Oh and I bought it 2nd hand a year old from D3vil on here and paid 3.5k for it, so really pretty good value all round, really do like it.

I'm not a fan of the akra but if you're going to get one then you did it the right way; you can probably sell it on when you are finished for pretty much what you paid for it.

I went for the Akrapovic. Should be installed in a few weeks then I'll give my feedback.

Love my Akrapovic system as well, great tone without being overtly loud. I also found there was less driveline shunt due to the weight saving.
