When the RS brand "was" exclusive..and Audi was trying to establish itself at premium..times have changed...they ain't premium and you will get treat like you've just bought a diesel billy basic A4.

They've probably sold more C7 than Most other RS models.

Good luck but I won't hold my breath....all you will get is driver error, not used within tolerances etc etc.

I was told they were forged and shown brochure to confirm when I ordered my car as I was concerned about buckling (having had 6 wheels on B5 back in the day, and 4 on my last 5 series BMW). Doesn't mean they are though ;)

As for weight, they are surprisingly light - there is a thread on here comparing weights but from memory saving is around 12kg (i.e. 3kg a corner) over 21s. Cheap way to ride potholes and keep unsprung weight down :)

Forgot to add me and numerous other customers use the stock 20's for winter tyres and have never had a problem in the last 3 years.

But I totally agree with everyone who has paid an extra 2k or bought the performance model and ended up with a rubbish product, AUDI should be fixing this FOC no questions asked.

I wonder if it's possible to get a wheel tested to prove it's not worth its own weight? There must be some engineering skill on here that could help out? I'd certainly be willing to chip in if we were to get a result. The Hawkins people who are suing audi on the emissions will more than likely win and this is what makes me think of it, more people need to list their wheel issue on the sticky too

You'd need a failed wheel to be sent off for metallurgical analysis. If it's poor casting that would show, though I'd find that hard to believe. It could be that the wheel is not man enough for the vehicle, that would be much harder to prove.

It'd not be cheap or quick. Dekra would be my first port of call.

Which wheels do you have?

Same as yours, PE Y Spoke 21s. Popped into Wheel Power in SE London this week to get all 4 rebalanced as I noticed the vibration develop over Christmas. Whilst spinning on the balancing machine I could see the buckles, 2 only slight, the other in a pretty evil..

I'm also getting really bad 'grabbing' when pulling away at full lock... The joy.....

Wheel Power was my local tyre place for many years, back when Mark used to run it (not sure if he is still there; heard he had an accident). I used to live very close to there.
