I've been waiting for one for a year and a half!! They are due out in the new year but no set date. Carbon will be 3k euros plus I reckon and plastics 1k ish. They were keeping me updated via email but radio silence since new website has been released.

If I here anything I will let you know.

Snap, going a while back, when I first saw the below picture, I thought roof box looked stunning. Not an everyday fashion item, but looks good while also being practical. Ideal for the road trip and family skiing.

I never did find much info on these boxes.
56' Nord came up on my FB news feed a few days ago. Pretty sure it's the first time I've come across the manufactures web site.

I hope the boxes are better than their prose on the website. Talk about flowery guff!

They look smart.

But the guff is too much:

The journeys he takes are symbols of his beliefs, and he thrives to see what’s on the other side of the mountain. On a day like today Columbus set sail and discovered America. Where will your journey take you? To off license for some more beers :drink:

Yep. We all know Columbus would never have ventured across the Atlantic if it wasn't for his trusty carbon fibre roof box perched on top of the main mast of the Santa Maria...

That blurb is a piss take surely!?

They are taking ages. Ex Koenigsegg designer and Jon Olsson partnership. Jon has had one on all of his cars and yet they still aren't available for public...

I think sadly those prices are optimistic.

Now in the C7 I thought it's time to check out these 56 north roof boxes. Not a lot of detail on the website but I did get a very quick reply from the " International sales manager "
Hope you're all sitting down.

Carbon. €4150 plus vat
High performance plastic. €1299 plus vat

Both subject to change. ( Not my words !!!!)

Fair to say they failed to strike whilst the iron was hot! Jon's RS6 burnt to the ground last year, and that was after he sold it. Not being funny, but how long does development of the roof box take well over a year?!

Their website claims 70 hours to build the carbon version, about £50 per hour...

The website also says resellers available from January, which is still greyed out. Makes you question how good their aftercare will be for such a premium product.

Shame but doesn't look like I'm getting one of these. As you can see from the replies

Thank you for the swift reply. Unfortunately your website has limited details for a product which is very expensive.

We don't argue about that. We have unfortunately experienced a series of supplier related delays which led us to completely switch one of our main suppliers. The delay it caused and uncertainty about final product cost and in some regards product specifications has stoped us from completing a full spec.

You have the potential for a very good market.

We don't doubt it and we obviously don't like the situation our previous supplier caused us.

The box looks fantastic.

Thanks.i

Many of us Audi RS6 owners love the look but most have found it very frustrating trying to get firm details or even better a product that can be viewed in the UK.

We understand and are working to solve the situation as soon as possible.
The lead times are unfortunately fairly long and our technically complex design does not help to speed up manufacturing, however, we will not back away from our unique design.

If you can over come these problems you could have a very good market and with larger sales even be able to make the price more competitive.

That's our goal.

I'm still interested but your reply seemed a little unsure i.e. ( subject to change )

Again, this is related to what I just described. We do not want to give answers like that but we cannot give fixed prices until we know for sure what it will cost us to manufacture. This is our best guess based on our previous setup.
Once we have our new production line up and running we will give you a fixed price we know we can stand by.

Lol, do they only do them at the moment? It's not even possible to buy it yet?
