To do a engine upgrade if you are 100 000 km on a clock

I have been said by ABT tuner that if I do engine update after 100 000km it can be problematic to engine is it true? ABT states that it's better to do upgrade before I reach 100k

Did they give a reason? It's not like the engine changes shape so noting will bolt on any more! It sounds more likely that they won't warranty any upgrades performed on a 100k km engine. Those aren't the same things...
