I totally respect that people want to tweak their own car to have fun and often did the same on previous cars including a GTR33v but this seems like a small gain for the warranty implications etc.
Have to disagree with that, the difference between a standard RS6 (560-600) and a modified one (700+) is night and day.

No doubts about it, the standard car is great, very powerful, very quick and its planted. It's unlikely to catch you out unless you are driving like an idiot.

A modified RS6 takes you into the ''Holy sh*t" this is scary category, it's actually quite dangerous and it will very easily catch you out if you are not careful. I think my RS6 is too powerful for the roads just now with the cold weather as it will not accelerate properly in 1st and 2nd gear without trying to throw me off the road. Torque steer is crazy and the back end will come out on you where you need to left lock/right lock to get it to straighten up again. The traction light kicks in frequently to try help you out a little but it's a completely different animal with 700+. I've had mine tuned for a year now and it still has the potential to scare the living sh*t out of me, even more so over the last month as temperatures have plummeted.

In a standard car, you can launch it with torque brake boost 9 times out of 10 and get away cleanly. In a modified car, it's a huge pain in the ass to get it away cleanly using torque brake boost. I would say 1 in every 10 you will manage the challenge and even then you have to part throttle feather and come off a little. I was at a drag racing event a few weeks ago and just could not get it off the line using launch so I had to just roll it off the line from pretty much 1500rpm. It was very frustrating but I still managed a 10.9 rolling it off the line with no launch.

Additional to all of that, an RS6 needs an aftermarket exhaust system in my opinion. It's a completely different animal, the pops, the bangs, the crackles, the noise difference and throttle response again is night and day compared to standard.

550-600hp probably is the sweet spot for every day driveability though, 700hp+ is very enjoyable especially when it hooks up but it's scary and it's a pain in the a*s to control.
ABT also saying that you feel difference if you go from 560 to 700 hp, if you would go from 560 to 666 then maybe you won't feel big difference, also there is no difference from ordinary rs6 compared to rs6 performance, it's only 40hp plus in power

Yea for I would go for 700 package, but I want to live without any problems, because I had my BMW 335i tuned: chip, intercooler, other things and my fuel pump went down because my stoch car had 306 hp andd after I tuned I got 400 hp I felt diference, but for me it was always pain in the ass "if something happens" in a long distance...
