I had asked for these to be installed on my car at delivery (i know a bit gimmicky) but have now been told that Audi are (for the time being) not installing them on RS6's as they have been melting the wiring under the doors. Has anyone else heard this or is it bull?

I wanted the Quattro lights on mine, but after waiting since April to have them installed I eventually gave up. Apparently there was a quality control issue with them. I relented and had the Audi rings installed instead, Audi tech fitted them within minutes and they look really good

I've had "RS6" puddle lights on mine for several months, no issues. See other thread.
