PAD BRAKES

Post by danilobandeira » Thu Aug 25, 2016 12:55 am

My car has 13k km and i need to trade the pad brakes twice.

First time, audi dealers gave me a new one in warranty.

Second time, they didnt wanna trade because i used the car in track days and i bought a new one.

Now the noise started again, and they said the same thing. But, sorry, this is a sport car with 560hp twin turbo, WE NEED GOOD BRAKES.

They say that due the high temperatures of the pad brakes reach, it makes a glass film in the pad brakes.

I was talking to a friend and he told me that is a problem of the product (material).

My question, what pad brakes can i buy that does not do this horrible noise? What brand?

If you track the car then you will need to change the pads more frequently- particularly if you sit on the pedal with hot brakes.

Buy some race spec pads to use on track days (eg Performance Friction).

I use Pagid RS29's on my car for road & track & they perform exceptionally well. Far better than the stock pads for both Road & Track as on track the stock rears will be shot within a day or 2 of heavy use. Albeit they're quite expensive & they are a little noisy on the road, but nothing major & certainly worth the upgrade.

Try Ferodo DS2500, they are not noisy, as for performance brake pads, I would say they are quiet :)
Very good for track and occasional track days.
I sent you message with offer.

Ceramic as in OEM Audi Ceramics or 'aftermarket' ceramic compound pads?

After 300 miles even with track use they look fooked. What make are they?
