Just taken ours in for a 'annual' service. Seems that sometime in 2015 they switched to a long life oil service regime, told ignore the time and go by service indicator only....hmmmm

If it is on the same model as my old Phaeton V10 you can select to have the car set for annual/regular or variable where it monitors the usage profile and then tells yo once it needs it.

If you hammer the car then Variable will be more often but protect the engine better.

My RS6 facelift has just come up with Oil change so booked in with Listers Audi Worcester - Supplying my own oil, Castrol Edge as above.

Oil change is £163.08 supplying my own oil, £327 with Audi supplying.

The dealer has also offered a 2 part sanitiser for £24.99 - is this worth having with a 15 month old car?

Thanks

My dealer in ipswich lets me use my own oil, purchased 10 litres of Motul 300 and let them do the rest :)

Just been quoted £249 for my first oil change, Audi Dundee. £125 of that was for the oil, £25 for the filter, a few £ for the plug and 1 hr labour charge. I think I can get 10l of oil for around £65 so that would bring £60 off the price.

edit.. Oil and inspection service on my A3 was £279.

Oil Change - Maidstone Audi charged me £125 for parts & labour (supplied my own oil) on my C6 which was nice as it should have been £50 more but they left a few of the parts off the bill :D

Then I found it with nearly 1L too much oil in it as they didn't understand/know/realise that it was a dry sump system so they filled it to max when cold, doh!

I have had a price of £357 for an oil service but i tried to get them to price match a local Audi indi who quoted £216.
I have an email stating OEM parts will be used but im getting push back (surprise surprise) as im told per the T&C the quote needs to state part numbers ("not us sir this is Audi themselves"). Well I have read the T&C's on the Audi website and they dont state this.
To be fair i seem to recall a while back they did but looks like they have been updated to be sensible.

I'm reluctant to go back to the indi as it would be bloody obvious what im doing and i dont want to take the :piss:
The dealer has however offered a discount down to £299, something at least or they will allow me to supply my own oil bringing cost to £237. Not much point doing this though.
8.7l required im told.

£21 a litre! That's absurd. Get to costco and it'll be more like £21 for 4 litres (well, maybe £26).

That's steep for 1 hours labour and an oil filter?

As per posts above, would expect something in the region of £125-175 including vat for an oil change (customer supplying oil) depending on their labour rate / labour discount

Audi haven't a clue

Every RS I've had when I've asked for a price and details of service, they fanny about on the computers, are never sure what's actually involved task wise. They don't understand there own product...even the so called "RS" service advisors haven't a scooby do.
Independent for the win...sod the Audi stamp in the book.

yeh i knew i was going to get shafted with supplying own oil. Problem is up here every dealer in the region is essentially from the same group and you get directed to the same call desks. Gone are the times with previous Audis where i called round the individual dealers waiting for the first person to screw up and quote me for a 2l just as Chris said.

their initial £357 price is essentially the same as the fixed price service for an RS6 on the audi website for cars over 3 yrs.

Im going to try and get the part numbers on the indi quote just so i can produce this come service time in Feb as a :assflash: to the service manager.

Anyone know the part numbers required by chance?

Dont want to get it serviced with the indi while this whole alloy thing is ongoing just in case .... pigs might fly :drink:

I had the first service on my C7 recently (oil change); 10 months old and 900 miles covered. Quoted £370. Took my own oil and ended up paying £264!! Told it was a variable service and they did me a favour doing it for that price. I still don't know what they did over and above an oil change though.
Took my B7 for a service this week, same dealer different service advisor. Had an interim service (not sure what this is either but sounds like just an oil change) and brake fluid change, supplied my own oil and it was £196.
