I mean I am very happy with my AMD stage2 file. But don't fancy spending £600+ just to test MRC.
If anyone with MRC st2 keen to put this to the test, I am all ears :)
Or you could ignore the recommendations and spend the rest of your RS4 ownership missing out on the best driving mod.
Have you driven a car with AMD tune yourself Mike?
I've had one of each map on my current B7 and on other cars. No brainer... As per Mile's comment re Sport mode too.

What about normal mode? How different are the tunes? Could it be that Amd tune is punchier in normal mode hence the luck of difference in sport?

So If you were me, you would go to MRC and pay to get a different tune? I mean I believe you guys. And not debating that MRC might NOT be better than AMD. It's just hard to swallow that to find out for myself I have to fork out another £600+ for a test...

Been there.... Lol, no regrets. The MRC map is much smoother at all times. In normal mode it is much easier to live with. I've got the manifold flaps removed too, which people suggest makes the car more difficult when cold. So even with that, it's MUCH smoother than the AMD map.

Best thing to do would be try and drive one. Mike's offered his up. Suppose it depends where you are located / what meets you can get to.

Mike sold his already.
I am in London. Near Wembley.
That's my point. I need to try it with my own ass to believe the difference. If it's as good as you guys say it is, I'll switch in a heart beat. Maybe after JC Weldfab ;)

I think the MRC remap is also a desirable mod when selling.

Mines not sold yet but is spending its time getting respayed then going to a dealer.

Footlong had an AMD map on his S3, then took it to MRC to get it mapped properly!
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

GTI Inters 1/4 mile 2014 and 2015 will tell you all you need to know about what the car will do in the real world when mapped by either.

Yes, I am biased!

I once had the absolute pleasure of drinking with MRC at the ring, and at 2am asked how you map a car.

They showed me the lot. And I will not break trust - I tell you what they certainly do know how to map a car.
Zero Drama
