Build/Delivery dates for Rs6 PE

Post by andymcg99 » Sun Jul 17, 2016 4:46 pm

Hi, my order for a C7 PE should be going onto the Audi system tomorrow, what delivery dates are people getting who have ordered recently? . Order form says October 31st, but hoping that comes forward.

Thanks

Andy

I ordered early December (the same week that order books opened for the PE) and was driving it early February. Recent orders seem to be a bit longet though.

Mine was ordered 7 weeks ago but delivery date is December. I think end Oct is optimistic (unless you have a very standard spec).

I ordered my pe back in February and is just going through quality control now, so should be with me mid August so was a 6 month wait, of course I will wait for the new plates.

I ordered mine on 10th May from Belfast Audi and it's been in Quality Control since Monday of last week.

It should be 'In Transit' tomorrow all things being well.

Thanks all, still waiting to hear from dealer today.

Spec is fairly straightforward:
Pearl Daytona
HUD
Sunroof
Red Calipers
Smartphone
PhoneBox
4 year warranty

Will see what they say and let you know. Good luck to those of you with them just round the corner, RSQ - hope that wait goes fast!

Hope you got a good deal Andy. I spec changed mine to Air to put the tow bar on but now nervous it will be a boat. Any views?

It's a boat either way, but it'll be more of a boat on air.

Is air on a sporty setting not more firm? On my B8 RS4 with DRC dynamic was a joke so it lived in comfort. I just need RS6 to feel like that

Firmer yes, but doesn't control the roll as well as DRC. DRC usable in comfort and dynamic.

Build week 49 :-(

I test drove an "Air" car and it seemed solid enough in Comfort and Dynamic for the typ of driving I'll be doing in it.

RSQ - I think I got about the same deal as you reading your other thread, makes the cost of change from the B8 RS4 bearable right now, or rather, in January 2017 by the look of it

I am on Air. I came from an MB E63 (steel front, air rear) and the audi does not feel too boaty. I did have a Skyline GT-R33 V-spec once - it had no suspension, none. On comfort it is soft and floats a little but it is comfy for road driving in traffic. On dynamic it is sufficiently controlled but not tight. It is two tonnes and has quite numb steering. I find the numb steering limits my desire to play at the limit before the suspension gets in the way.

If you drive it like a rental and have an open licence go for the Steel. If you drive on english roads and occaisionally spank it then Air is sufficient ?

IMHO.

I found the air just too floaty even at low speeds around roundabouts. It is not about driving on the limit, it was just too wishy washy for me even at low speeds.
