So my new RS6 Performance will have the Bose system, which in all accounts is very good apart from a rather lacklustre sub. Who here has upgraded theirs and was it an expensive process? I won't get away with putting a box or tube in the boot, that's the dogs space, so what can be done? But X5s HK system packed a real punch and I need bass!
Cheers

So, the SUB...
Re: So, the SUB...
Speak to Luke at Plush Autotmotive. He has fitted the amps and sub without losing any boot space.
I have an amp under the floor and a box in the boot. As its an estate car the amp and sub don't need to be as big as mine; I did mine in a hurry a couple of weeks ago just to get some more bass while I figure out what I'm doing with the whole system. I cost me nothing as I used bits i already had and did all the work myself.
Its a fairly easy install as you can use the wires from the bose sub as a high level input and you have the battery in the boot already for powering the amp.

Re: So, the SUB...
Mike you'll have to get a listen to the B&O when I get it. Then you can figure out if the B&O retrofit is the best plan or complete aftermarket.

Re: So, the SUB...
Thanks Boff. Ive heard the B&O in the demo car I drove. Its good but not as good as the sound I had in my B7.
Also, as the facelift cars went to MOST150 I doubt any of the B&O systems on eBay wouldn't work with my MMI unless they came from a facelift car too.

Re: So, the SUB...
Serious? OK so a new bus, we'll I guess aftermarket that leaves you with a good quality high level to low level thingy, and then hang what you like off it.
I guess that noise cancelation and other integrated audio services would be a worry then.
Get you on the B7. I had a scooby many years ago that I threw 10k's worth of stereo at, nothing to date has come close. and i don;t expect the B&O to come close
