C7 has a good gearbox, especially when doing standing starts, so feels very quick. Mid-range is a different story compared to my old mapped c6. My stock c7 (bar milltek) would not stand a chance mid-range compared to my old mapped c6. If yours feels as quick it may have software like revo on it?

Congrats on the purchase. Looks stunning!

Just to pick up on your comment about boot rattles. I also have an annoying rattle (had from day 1) coming from the rear left side (from drivers seat PoV). It only seems to occur occasionally on certain slightly rougher road surfaces. I have not managed to track it down to fix it yet. I have checked the obvious - seatbelt touching door (which is what it sounds like), items loose, seat loose etc but to no avail. I was beginning to wonder if it is something inside a door panel. I am abroad for a while right now, but will pick this up on my return and worst case it will go to the dealer for some investigations as it is my only gripe about the car so far (oh, along with not being able to permanently disable auto start/stop!).

Do let me know if you manage to track it down.

Any others had this issue?

Il stick Girlfriend in the boot and give it a few big licks to see if she can identify it!! :biggrin3:

The start stop has to be disabled each time you start the car by default.
However, if you have a VCDS cable you csn do several things with it like permanently disable it. I have mine inverse so it always is switched off by default when I start the car (with light off) but if I ever wanted to activate it I cans still turn it on with the button.

thanks for that MikeFish. I was aware that it was possible to modify this with VCDS but was not aware of the "inverse" option which is just perfect. plucking up the courage to "hack" my '6 using VCDS ... I' am an ex-programmer but having being sucked into management some years back I am pretty rusty !
