Newbie from the SW saying hi

Post by ImmortanJon » Thu Feb 25, 2016 9:51 am

Hello All,

I have been lurking on here for a while and finally decided to register after recently taking delivery of my new RS6 recently in the South West area. Picture attached in Glacier White – or should I say “Devon White” … beginning to think white may not have been such a great choice, but it looks stunning when It’s clean for all of 5 minutes.

I’d like to say what an informative and well-mannered forum this is. I have taken a lot out of it over the previous months including when I was debating the purchase - so thanks to you all for that.

I am very pleased with the car so far, but getting used to the size of it – it is a beast – was the hardest thing. Thankfully I went for the advanced parking pack! I was initially a little annoyed at the PE edition being released, but have realised the standard edition is crazy enough for me. I am sure I will eat these words when I meet my first PE at the traffic lights though! Anyway there is always the option of remapping down the line when out of warranty and I have got used to the power.

Cheers,

IJ

Welcome to the club - a major omission on my part not going for the advanced parking but it was a stock car. Enjoy the motor, I know you will.

"By my deeds I honour him, V8" another great (and relevant) quote from the movie

True story, many people wrongly believe that Fury Road is actually a movie when in fact it's just a documentary of a few weeks spent in the Outback with Bam Bam and his tribe.

hello mate,

Just like you I'm down here in the Westcountry - new to the forum and newly proud owner of a RS6. Loving your colour, makes me wish I was a little bit braver in my choices - I went Mythos Black (I know, I know). I'm down in South Devon, any chance I might see you overtaking me on the A38 any time soon?
Out of interest, did you buy local?
