Can't see what a few KGs in weight matters either in a two tonne 700bhp car?
If you can stomach the Max power tailpipes and 6.5 g price tag....crack on....

+1. The Milltek is hardly a budget exhuast at over £1.5k for a cat back and something like £3.5k for turbo back. It only seems budget because the Akro is so flaming expensive.RS6chris! wrote:Seems a waste of effort to me to have a nice shiny exhaust only to be hidden under car and get covered on shore and tarnish from salt etc anyway?

Different strokes for different folks I guess Mike.MikeFish wrote:...but in my mind it is clear cut. In fact, I would probably choose neither until after having a conversation with the company that makes the best sounding B7 exhaust by a mile; JC Weldfab. However, after years of experimenting and spending thousands of pounds on various configurations of exhaust on the B7, the best sound I found was with the centre resonator deleted out and the exhaust valves disconnected (also have pre-cats deleted for what it's worth sound wise). That would possibly be my first attempt with the C7 if I decide the sports exhaust is not noisy enough. How about that for a budget exhaust?
Not sure anyone has asked them to do one for a C7 yet. But their previous exhaust have been similar price to the Milltek from what I remember but with a much better build quality and the ability to tailor it to how you like it.John Johnson wrote:How much is the weldfab zorst ?

That's mainly to do with Audi and their reluctancy to carry out the DRC warranty work though.Surrey Sam wrote:MikeFish wrote:Not sure anyone has asked them to do one for a C7 yet. Been waiting nearly a year for a final production exhaust and price for the B8 RS4, so don't hold your breath.
So your saying just run a straight pipe through then and disconnect the valves ?MikeFish wrote:Exactly Sam, I've never been a fan of the Capristo or Akra sound so each to their own.
And yes whilst I loved the sound of the weldfab on the B7 (and my Tubi) for everyday use I think the best combo is what I stated above; centre res delete and valves open which is why I think it would be worth a go with the C7.
I have the Milltek midpipes sitting in my garage unused that you can have.Dallas83 wrote:Right , i've booked mine in for tomorrow at a local custom exhaust place to take out the middle section and replace with an x-pipe. Anyone got any info on what to do to keep the valves open though ? Any links ? Prob a simple task , but not quite sure what i'm looking for and what to do... Thanks
