Apple CarPlay

They've not updated 2G MMI to do full postcode so this is in the bob hope or no hope category.

It's not that much different to the B8, still a variation on 3G MMI.

The main differences for me are functionally wise.

Moving map on the dash is cool
Allowing more than 2000 contacts changes my life
Integration into Apple Music is made possible via the sub cable, and it works real well.

I just wanted all the cool gadgets and stuff.

Apple integration is no different to B8. Doesn't do podcasts very well though, that's one of the bugs. Still, VAG don't do software, as we've seen quite publicly!

Agreed the dash is better, but then the dash is better full stop.

It really is mate, it just works. In the b8 the memory is limited as is the processor, so you are limited to numbers of contacts, songs etc etc - the boot up process is unreliable and slow.

The rs6 fl is like everything that the b8 should do, with the bonus it works. My contacts directory is massive, beyond 2000 due to LinkedIn integration etc, and my music collection spans back to me getting an iPhone 1 so it's very big - in the b8 the phone crashes all the time and the Apple Music over usb/lightening just mega crashes.

When I plugged into the rs6, absolute nirvana - really quick and good. Although the DAB radio in the c7 is nowhere near as good as the b8

I had filled a 120GB iPod...B8 coped with that OK. It's better, but it's not that functionally richer.

Sorry to say you'll get crashes in the C7 too.
