Thanks Paul.
Audi forced me to buy a breadvan by refusing to make any more RS taxis. I didn't want to but I didn't fancy any of the saloon offerings from any other brands other than the new alfa but it will be a year before that is available.

There is nothing in the Audi range that I really want either, I love the RS6 but is a bit too big for our needs, having a go in a Macan Saturday week.

Just got a price to replace the ceramics £17k plus fitting, seems a lot as there are only a £5.5k option all around, doesn't seem right to me.

Look forward to seeing the pics of the RS6 when it arrives, any pics of the RS3?

The 3 is a great little car. I did a couple of hundred miles in it at the weekend while she was away but was taking it easy (only had 130 miles on the clock at that point) but you can tell already its gonna be great. I think the 6 and 3 compliment each other nicely, big mile muncher when needed and a little rocket when you fancy something to throw around a bit. The exhaust sounds amazing.

It has been bothering me since seeing that photo of the German car the same colour / trim as mine. I don't want to have to remove the internal trims, bumper etc to make the car look nice. I am worried that when they pull the cover off the car in the showroom I will be like meh. And that's not the right way to feel about a car costing 93k.
I thought about changing it to Daytona with black gloss trim but I really wanted a black car. So I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and spend another 3.5k and get the carbon trim.
I've emailed the dealer to ask if I can change my order (again) without affecting my build week.

Agreed but I'm not paying 1.5k for the Audi ones. I don't mind swapping covers over. Or paint them black gloss.

The RS6 mirrors are the same are the A6 aren't they (assuming they both have lane assist or not)?

Dealer was off today but one of the others tried to change my order but said it was locked for production now. Will see what my guy says tomorrow when he is back.

Just reading the new brochure there...

Over and above the standard RS6

21' wheels - £2k option normally
Sports Exhaust - £1k option
Privacy Glass - £390
Styling pack - £890

So around £4200 worth of options over and above the £79k base price of the normal RS6

You also get the 605ps engine tune, inlays in blue carbon and blue stitching in the leather seats.

Interestingly, they have now incorporated a drive select button into the steering wheel, this was one of my major gripes with the RS6, it's a pain having to go into the car menu to change modes. What i found even more frustrating is you can't even program the * button for drive select on the RS6 but yet you can on pretty much every other Audi S/RS car. I'm sure a VCDS hack would sort that functionality out though, can't imagine it would be too hard.

Yeah it was a bit of a no brainer for me given that I'd have ticked all those options above. And carbon is 1k cheaper if you go for carbon instead of the styling pack.

Only with the leather / alcantara seats not the all leather seats.
