Haggis. Is the only reason you are ruling out nearly new for finance reasons?

If not, why not go nearly new? There are some cracking fully specced cars out there with low miles that dont appear to be shifting.

Or did you want a particular spec?

S4WON - The primary reason is spec. I don't want the 21" wheels, I don't want dynamic ride or steering. Most the second hand ones are either v high spec and therefore have all of those or they are Red, which looks great but not for me.

I think I've settled on the fact that I will have to wait. I'm very happy in the B7 at the moment and no real trips planned. I have phoned 8 dealers today (from Wales to Scotland and everything in between), they all have the same issue - any cars on order are high spec and they can't match the price. I guess I can't have it every way.

The dealer has offered to give me a car if I need one when I sell mine, but it will only be for short periods and likely to be a joke of a pool car.

Have you tried Tetbury Audi? If not, try them...

I tried all the services that I could think of; broadspeed, orangewheels, drivethedeal as well as trying hard with my local dealer, but carwow came out the best (local dealer was by far the worst!). Tetbury Audi came a very close second, but Cheshire Oaks won out. This was partly on price, buy also on build slot and I ordered at the end of June and got the nod today that it is built and on the way to Sheerness :-)

I did look at nearly new S4WON, but for the Sticker price of a car with 3-5000 miles I got the exact car I wanted new, with a better residual, just sacrificing some delayed gratification!
8L S3 with stage 2 (gone)
B7 A4 DTM (gone)
B7 RS4 (Miltek Res Valved, 100 cell cats, Ceramics, Carbon cleaned) gone
C7 RS6 Panther, carbon pack,

Haggis! I had my C7 stolen last week only 4 weeks old. I too had standard wheels and a few other essential bit like sports exhaust, parking, sunroof, private glass and I had given up hope of her returning. I started to Shop around for a replacement and I also found that any dealer ordered car was very highly speced with things I would never need like £2500 for dynamic suspension??? And if you are financing the car on PCP then you take the hit on all these unwanted extras as the residule values are all the same no matter how highly the car is speced.

Luckily I got my car back yesterday with only 300 extra miles on it. The brakes have been roasted but after an advanced health check that was all they could find.

Stirling Audi have a sepang blue, 21" Black wheel, pan roof, SE and private glass sitting there just now which is probably the lowest spec I could find!!!

I thought I would update you all...

Car expected January, it was in fact delivered yesterday! Hats off to Finchley Audi who bumped it up 4 weeks in the build and also sent their own transporter to Sheerness - great customer service.

It is a hell of a car and has already shown me its darkside. From serene cruiser to vicious bruiser in a flash. I haven't truly stretched her legs yet but she is an absolute joy to drive and just be in. Have already wound up the Mrs by spending a good hour a day just sitting in a stationary car and fiddling. Glad to join the ranks finally!

A sad farewell to the B7....although still in the shed....need to find her a new home. Any takers? On all the outlets and on here too...

great news. wife/parents used to say the same thing about me just sitting in the car fiddling. Wife did get concerned one day when she knew I was in the garage with a new car but couldnt see me - derrrrr if she had only looked in the boot she would have seen me laying in there just checking the boot out from all angles inside it..... girls - they just dont get it to they....... :bigblink:

They don't get it cos they've never had a dead prostitute in the boot or had a bound and gagged drug dealer escape out of their boot. If they had, then they'd check the boot out throuoghly too.
