considering this

Post by rs4_avant_7 » Sat Nov 14, 2015 9:27 pm

found this

http://www.harwoods.uk.com/audi/used-ca ... v8-quattro

does not seem to have a huge spec, but then most I have looked out do not

my main concerns - depreciation - what's the right price for this car, will the lack of options go against it in 2 - 3 years ??
privacy glass - is getting a tint film applied a no no ? have two young kids and I just could not bring myself to have awful aftermarket blinds stuck on the windows
DVB TV - anyone added this after purchase ?
Tow bar / towing - anyone done this after purchase ?

I have had two RS4 B7 and C5 RS6

thoughts.

Damn that's well priced, cheapest until now have been 58 59 60k?

Forgive the personal question - cannot you not keep the appreciating 993 to run along side the RS6?

Wow, that is cheap, never seen one anywhere near that price. As Ian said cheapest I've ever seen is 58k

I would love to keep the 993, if noting else for the appreciating value as you say, but my finances wont stretch to that. Its a stunner as well, wants for nothing and less the 90k miles. I am also running out of parking, the Mrs wont let me have more then 4 at time.

Looking at the pics of this car, it doesn't look like it has privacy glass but the Audi site says:-

Twin pane heat and UV insulating glass with privacy glass from B post

but my guess is that's an error ?

How fast can you sell the 993? Expect that C7 will sell pretty fast at that price

Looking at other RS6's with 63 reg plates, this car is underpriced in comparison. Cheapest I had seen recently was £57k for a July 13 car. Have a look at what 2010 60 reg cars are selling for to get an idea of what its value is going to be like in 3yrs.

Please don't buy it just because it is cheap. Unless it is a colour and spec you really like.
It's akin to marrying someone just because they are easy to get in to bed and ignoring the rest of their attributes (or deficits).
Be patient and wait for the exact car - and be prepared to pay a bit more for it. A few grand either way on a car like this is neither here nor there if it means the difference twixt married bliss and co-habiting. :)

that made me smile markp - colour is OK, not fussed, 4 was the same red, spec - well for me its in the driving, I have got this far without a headsup display, TV and an ice maker.

I had the fridge glovebox in the rs4 and never used it once, TV in the RS6 watched it once queuing at the Dartford crossing for an hour, beat watching the fuel gauge drop, but cant say I would miss it

it doesn't have any options really besides convenience pack. biggest thing is the lack of privacy glass, but for the saving I would consider getting it tinted.

I may pass on it, I am in no rush, and if suddenly the dealers are prepared to be realistic then it may pay to wait.

I think its cracking good value for the performance and as you said its the driving that the real thrill of these cars - Its relative price gap be when you sell it in 2-3 yrs time be less of a gap between a higher spec then lower spec i would imagin as they tend to even out AND if it means that you can get your hot sticky hands on an RS6 now and enjoy it then why not. As you siad its the driving thats key. Trinkets are nice but still the same engine.

That is cheap buddy however the spec isn't that great Id be looking for one with pan roof, LED headlights Dynamic pack RS suspension etc. IF your not to bothered about the extra bits id go for it!

It's got LED lights.

From what I hear the air suspension is just as good as DRC??

I've just had a new one with the Air, and it is no way as good as my rs4b8 with drc.

My wife made a sensible point, we put it into the twisty stuff and it was ok ish, but when on the long fast roads in wallowed into the corners.... as my wife said - akin to our range rover sport over finch supercharged. Which took me months to get used to. It also made me a bit sick. The corners dipped, and then you correct - felt weird

Dealer tels me the drc completely eradicates that

Yes, less roll with DRC. I'm a lot more confident in the C7 than I ever was in the C6. I'd still say it's quicker than the RS4 as the power is instantly available.
