One thing it does show is the power unit can take the extra horse power!!

I think we knew that, used by Bentley in a higher tune is it not? Only 40 horse though so not exactly a mega bump.

My car is getting built 9 November, and first thought was to try to change, as a bit annoying to be outgunned so quickly! Difference is going to be 10k+ with discounts I'm sure, so think I'll stick where I am, which is a first...

I've not got my build date yet so I am tempted but if I can't get the price right it's a non starter for me.

The issue you have is that you cannot order yet, so you may have to take a call now, and then you'll be waiting again. First cars not until Feb.

And if you don't cancel now you risk hitting build and then having no choice anyway.

Tbh Feb doesn't bother me as I don't want the car until March 1st for the new plate. That being said, if it's build in time for Christmas I won't be able to help myselfImage (unlikely)

Depends on volume. You'd expect not, and I suspect there will have been a few sold in advance.
high margin product

VWG need all the profits they can get given recent events

if they can push the volume, they will
Exactly as HYFR says
I got 'spoken to' about ordering one recently, and when I asked if there was similar 10-14k discounts available as the normal RS6, the answer was along the lines of 'no way Jose'

That's all I can say at this stage.

Isn't it just a matter of time though? Surely they'll throw some money at this, especially as the C7 platform has only a couple of years left.

It looks great to me. I've never been sold on the C7 RS6 wheel options and these wheels alone look worth mortgaging the Labrador for.

I wonder if the co2 has been affected and nudged back over the 225?

Hardly a huge cost in the great scheme though.

If the practical difference is in excess of 10k, then bragging rights and warranty aside, then it would appear that circa 5k dropped at MRC/similar for 700+ hp would need more cost effective, until an engine went pop inside a warranty period I guess.

At what point do we consider a four wheel drive estate car to be too bonkers?

If audi wanted cash from buyers, then they could probably make more margin from simply offering owners the option to pay something like £4k for the power upgrade and keeping their warranty in tact. I'd take it.

I read that they have made some modification to the gearbox as well. Engine wise they have increased the boost pressure and moved the rev limiter further up the scale.
exterior they have made the intakes larger in the front and changed the rear diffuser somewhat.

Maybe I'm biased as I collected my RS6 in July, but I don't see the point in the exterior changes (really hard to any difference) and the power increase should have been there from the star :audibash: :biggrin3:

Niclas

Perhaps it's my eyesight, or that I've not seen a side by side picture, but other than the wheels, I can't tell the difference
