Well finally ... hopefully some good news

Post by gdavison » Sat Jul 26, 2014 7:02 pm

Looks like I finally managed to place a C7 RS6 order today. Its had to go exclusive paint to get something that is not "red or 7 shades of grey" so that has added 8 weeks to delivery for exclusive paint. I'll get a date in next few weeks and then start to work out what I can do with the C6

Spec
Exclusive paint - Sepang
Interior - Silver / Black / Black / Silver

PGB - Hands free Boot and Keyless
KA2 - Rear Reversing camera
PA2 - Dynamic package
OP6 - Sports Exhaust
4A4 - Heated Front / rear seats
5TL - Inlays Piano Black
9ZW - Phone High End with Audi Connect
3FU - Panoramic Roof
PQ7 - 21 * 9.5J Twin Spoke Silver
Cobra Track

thanks to all on the forum for the emotional help during "my crisis" :beerchug:

Tracker? About as much use as a choco teapot. Save your money.

Really think the inlays, there's a lot of it and it scratches easily.

So you now have a colour that was standard, they removed due to colour matching but it's now exclusive and 2k more. Audi certainly know how to make money.
Can't wait to see pictures when it arrives and I'm sure the C7 people are looking forward to your informative inputs. Enjoy

It's unclear why it was removed, but it's not matching.

I read elsewhere that they removed some colours due to matching, but that was prior to sepang replacing estoril recently. To be fair, no matter what the colour is, you'll never match a pearl on plastic parts and metal exactly. Some colours just show the difference more. Blues are buggers for showing it more. Perhaps its the angles of the panels on the 6 that give them cause for concern on matching?? Who knows.

It could just be a brief supply issue for the 6 spray robots or something daft. It may even return as a standard colour as its only suspended at present isn't it? If it does, I'd be expecting some money back or extra options for free if that happens.

Its great to share the stories

I was told "estoril" removed was because its a BMW colour ..

All folk claimed today no idea why Sepang was shot so early

Re the Cobra system >> did it as I know the insurance companies I will be using will require it .. and to be honest I've left house without "the card" and within30 seconds of driving off had the phone call to check .. I believe the Cobra system works .. its not the " car gone" lets use the 1 police car in the region to try and find it tracker system

Agree on the cobra system. I had it on an F430, they often called within seconds of the car being moved onto the trailer when it went for a service, noting the car was moving without the ignition being started. They would also call me when the car was moved around in the service centre. Well worth the money IMHO and I suspect insurance I will be using may require it too.

That's impressive. Audi Experience cars have piano, mullered after <2k miles. There's more of it in C7 than there was in C6.

I get the tracker, but I'm convinced that if someone wants your car they'll have it tracker or not.

Indeed. What puzzles me is that some are bothered and I there's aren't.
