It would be great if a comparison could be made for all RS6s ... ie C5, C6 and C7 !

Result....

C5 stuck on start line with a lean due to DRC failure and gearbox meltdown.

C7 disappears into the distance and C6 not far behind.

There's an Autoexpress vid comparing the RS6 and E63. RS6 demolishes the Merc in a straight line but they are less complimentary about the handling....understeer.

I have always been tempted by an E63, having driven a normally aspirated 6.2 about 4 years ago. The Merc just does not have the cache of the original RS6 C5. With all that power, 4 wheel drive is really a must for all year round drive.

Maybe some would suggest RWD is good enough, or even better, if one wants the front wheels to do the steering. Winter tyres would be a must.

I believe the new E63 is only being offered with 4 matic for LHD European models.
