Ok found it.
I was using the "Build your Audi" section on the home page.
RS6 is not an option there.
However using the top menu "Explore Models>Audi Car Configurator" it is then available :drink:

Went for the 4 rather than the 6, had c5 and c6 and vowed never again. Point and squirt barges IMO.
The c7 looks very dull, again IMO. Just can't see why anyone would take the hit on such a heavy, un involving car for such an obscene amount of money.

That's why my C5 is for keeps .. but I am looking forward to being tempted to buy a C7 when I am given a test drive.

Maybe the RS6 Plus may prove to be more inviting ...

My spec is Prism with titan wheels which is why is need some kind of optic contrast; the carbon pack is crazy money though. IMO the black wheels are a bit too boy racer, titans the darkest I dare go.
Personally, you're taking a big risk on 100k of car painting bits aftermarket, that's going to pick your pocket down the line.

If you're in no hurry, why not wait until you can drive one. Not as though you won't get one.

I'm going to sit on it for another year I think, I feel a bit of a car shuffle coming along.
Air suspension without Dynamic Steering; I reckon I'll struggle to find a test car with that combo if the B8 demo cars are anything to go by.

You have a point, but driving the metal in some form has to be better than not doing so and taking a punt.

Air suspension without Dynamic Steering just meant that they didn't go for either Sports pack - there should be a couple of those floating around..

If you're worried about residuals on a 100k car, you're buying the wrong car. You'll definitely take a bath on it whatever spec it is. Expect to lose 40-50k over three years.

10 years ago I reckoned 50 % residual after 3 years, depending on brand & model.

I reckon that is now 2 years on some cars, if you are lucky.

A relative bought a new factory ordered loaded Merceded C 350 petrol coupe in June 2012 for £44,000 .. 9 months later they needed to sell the coupe, as they realised they needed 4 doors, and a private sale attracted no offers for the car when it was advertised at £32,000 & the Merc dealership talked of valuing it at £25,000.

Exactly, the 6 will dump £30-40 k in the first 12 months. That's madness when you could own for more driver focused exotica and do the American or less for £100k.
My V12Vantage was 10 months old when I bought it, listed at £147k, bought it for £100k and have offers of £85k to buy it back after 12 months.
Utter madness to buy the 6 new IMO.

I think the point here is that the RS6 is a 5 person wagon with a massive boot. I wouldn't buy it expecting it to handle like an R8, but I would be prepared to compromise. Having something two seater does appeal, but the reality is that it'd rarely get used. If I'm going to take a bath it'd have to be on a car I am going to use.

I just don't get why its 'that' expensive.

Its just an Audi.

You've got BMW doing 0% finance on new M5's so why do Audi think they can charge £100k for a fast estate?

Madness.

As always, people will buy it, but it will not be in numbers and they will be good 2nd hand buys at 2yrs old relative to their list price.

I completely agree. The B7 RS4 was at the right price and sold the numbers accordingly. Along came the R8 and that pricing model appears to have stuck ever since. I guess, as a market, the UK is less interesting than the developing nations, the EUR doesn't help our cause either.

Ive got a new s6 avant at the mo as a loan car, and I just hope the new RS6 is a lot better than this. This car is so uninvolving, no engine v8 growl, very quiet and disapointing. The s6 ive been told has the same v8 engine as the rs6 but with different bits I hope them bits mske all the difference.

I've just 'specced up' a new C7 RS6 on the Audi configurator. I'd read about some contributors getting close to £ 100,000, if not over. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that my choice of Daytona Grey with 21 inch wheels was touching £ 86,000. Not cheap I know, but I breathed a sigh of relief that I was not near the £ 100,000 mark.

How on earth did you manage that? Not looking at the options at all is probably the best bet!

Demo cars late summer apparently.
