Stage 2 GTR

I went for a passenger ride in a stage 2 600bhp GTR. My god that thing is like nothing else. It went past Evo's, focus RS', and other quick cars like they weren't moving. I knew it was going to be quick but I was really blown away. The grip, the power and even the interior wasn't bad.

We started last out of 30 cars and finished 1st and lapped numerous other motors.

I now know what the hype is about. Granted this one is 600bhp but everything else was stock. However, I would never buy one for road use, it's just too capable.

Thought I would share.

True they aren't. It was just silly how these fairly quick cars just looked like they were going backwards. Is Phils tuned up as well?

How do these compare to the R8 V10, I know they're different as it is stage 2 but handling wise?

a mapped R8 V10 with Ceramics (i.e. Nudenuts) is more than a match for a Stage 2 GTR both in power and handling (and stopping)

GTR is a fat old lump remember

Wow! I'd like to have a passenger ride in one to test this out. So 0-60 the GTR wins I'm guessing but everywhere else the V10 is right up there. Blimey.

Don't know why but I really didn't think the R8 could touch the GTR.

a stock V10 0-62 is 3.9secs

a mapped one might shave a little off this

R-Tronic has a launch control function aswell

R8 is 100-200KG lighter than a GTR and mid engined

So about a second slower to 60 but with ceramics and a map just as good on the track. 0-60 doesn't mean anything on a track to be fair. I need to get in a V10 on a track.

Nudenut's car was unbelievably fast and stable at Brands last month when I had a pass ride, god know's what it will like at Spa next month when it can stretch its legs. Nigel's RS6 was doing 160mph at the end of Kemal.

R8 V10 must be 170 +

I'm going to have to come along to a track day and do a passenger session I think.

Only 600 pff not even trying

Been in 650 with slicks around Silverstone and Spa

Also driven 1000bhp and there is a 1300-1400bhp being built at the minute, spend so far £150k, on top of the car.

That's insane!

I have to point out it was my first ever outing on a track so probably added to the 'f**k me this thing is quick' factor.

At least at those speeds you can't see how butt ugly they are.

I disagree there. A 600hp evo 6 will easily keep up with a 600 Gtr on any track. What the OP failed fo mention is if these other cars were standard.

Well I didn't know what the others were putting out. You could say a 900 hp ford fiesta would nail a GTR. I was just stating what I observed. As I observed it the Evo and RS weren't fair game, it was just surprising how much quicker the GTR was.
