When you say mapped, you mean a Stage 4 upwards (North or 780bhp)?

IIRC, Mr F's car was around 800bhp. My GT-R was just nudging 600bhp at that time. Can't recall if the other RS6 was Stage1 or 2. A stock GT-R will be hitting 62 in 3 secs, so any RS6 is going to have to be putting out some considerable additional power to keep up in a straight line.

GT-R vs EVO is not a mismatch on a track. :bigblink:
Oh rly? Because 34secs seems like a lot on the N-Burger ring, ne?!

I think your missing my point pr perhaps I didnt explain it properly

I was talking about a modded Evo. NOT standard.
I love drag racing and track racing. I have had many fast cars and below is a short list of the ones most memorable.

MR2 Turbo REV2 (standard) > MR2 Turbo REV1 300HP> MR2 Turbo REV3 450HP (Nick Name Biscuit tin) > Celica GT4 ST205 WRC 300HP > R32 GTR 425HP > Honda Integra DC2 (standard) > EVO GSR 300HP > R32 GTR 450HP

Now on the hunt for an RS6

*you're

Not only have you NOT explained it 'properly' but now you're starting to go around in circles!!!

Firstly; can you please point out in your post above (quotes included) where you were "talking about a modded Evo. NOT standard"?

Secondly; I've addressed your modded EVO vs. GT-R quandry a fair few posts back...
This.

I disagree there. A 600hp evo 6 will easily keep up with a 600 Gtr on any track. What the OP failed fo mention is if these other cars were standard.

This.
Nickyboy wrote:My god that thing is like nothing else. It went past Evo's, focus RS', and other quick cars like they weren't moving.
The OP didn't need to mention if the EVO or FRS were standard, he merely observed that these cars were being passed by the GT-R "like they weren't moving".
It doesn't take a genius to guess that these were either bog standard or in a very mild state of tune, ergo, DK's statement "Evo and Focus RS arent really fair game". It's not an inflammatory statement, it's just the perceived level where these cars sit within a pecking order. Also, a 600HP EVO isn't a stage 2 like the 600HP GT-R happens to be. The EVO will need cams, larger turbo, injectors, pumps, anti-lag, flywheel, clutch, inters (some might argue that you need rods, pistons, head studs and head work for a trackable 600HP EVO6). IIRC the GT-R only really needs a Cobb AccessPort, a deCAT, Y-Pipe and maybe some injectors and inters. Again, the tune stages proving where these cars sit within an automotive pecking order.

GT-R vs. EVO/FRS = mismatch.
Thirdly; I'm not sure what point it is you're trying to make? Are you saying a modded EVO will beat/match a stock GT-R on the track, what is the point of that? Also, no one has disagreed with you on this, it'd be a retarded argument, it's a given that you can sufficiently modify an inferior car to beat a superior car. It proves zilch. Like, I could beat Mohammed Ali in a fight, right now, this minute, it'd be really easy too I reckon, pointless, but I could do it, I guess.
The point I already raised is that no matter which way you look at it, these cars are a mismatch (except maybe on dirt). For every stage/tune you mod the EVO, the equivalent GT-R stage mod/tune will more than match it.

Can you dig it?
No matter where you go, there you are.

Well said Mr Bam. That's why bang for buck, stock vs stock can be the only comparison.

Oh here we go ...

NO not stage 4!!

Stage 2+. Map, filters and secondary decat/milly

I was at vmax 9 days ago and sat my very arse in a C6 that went up against TWO 630PS GTR's and yes while the GTR will get to 60 first due to launch control and DSG, the C6 hit the timing beams FIRST and both clocked 195mph on the beams

Some could say get over your Audi obsession to you also D_K but fortunately we all love them.

On a side note regarding Audis I saw a matt red RS5 next to an S7 and S8 at Anfield. The S8 and RS5 were truly stunning but the S7 didn't look like much to me. I have no pics so I guess it didn't happen though!

A lot of clean shaven apices in that vid. Shameful that those 'Rarri's weren't being driven as they should.

At least they moved out of the way and allowed the mx5 past.

Not off the line it isn't. Mid range maybe, I'll just have to take your word for that.
The two GTR's we took on at Vmax in my C6 recently in the dry were both 630PS-650PS cars. In both cases they only just pipped us to the quarter mile by a car length (due to launch and quicker shifting box), and the C6 took both of them down the two mile stretch from a side by side roll on, DK was with me on one of those runs, so do take his word for it and mine.

I do take your words for it. As I said the 0-60 on the GTR is something else but as you guys have witnessed the rest of the range is in favour of the tuned C6.

Yes he had it wrapped. Looks great doesn't it. My S4 is reasonably specced I would say, not well specced. I don't have the differential or sat nav/tech pack. Too poor for those unfortunately, as you say looks wise it is well specced in and out.
