Re: RS to R35 GT-R
Having had 2 RSes in silver, it's nice to finally have a car in a colour I wanted.

Re: RS to R35 GT-R
Ok, got a ride today with Phil - wow fast car - makes my M3 seem like a 325i
Re: RS to R35 GT-R
LOL - It is pretty rapid . The run down south and back was interesting; seems the "economy" map is less efficient than the "lunatic" map. I'm sure the speedo reads over the speed you are really doing. The indicated speeds I would normally cruise at seem quite slow when compared to volume of passing and convoy traffic.DuncS3 wrote:Ok, got a ride today with Phil - wow fast car - makes my M3 seem like a 325i
Will look at getting a speedo on the phone to see if it agrees with the car.

Is the leather grey or black? Looks smaller than the older A8 models, maybe it's the while that does it.

Re: RS to R35 GT-R
You find the Economy map less efficient?? I found the opposite, however if you do then decide to play whilst in Economy, the engine has to work harder as the Boost is limited, so that would counter balance any savings.
The new A8 is marginally bigger than the previous model but the white hides hide the size very well, but it's a less obvious Audi model than the previous A8 as looks similar externally to the A6 which is the more common vehicle. Really enjoying the wofting, but am missing the Warp speeds Over my 700 miles this week i've averaged 41mpg & can get over 700miles to a tank which is a nice feeling.
Still glad i made the move (for now) & i've got 23 months to decide what's next
Saw Tim last night & his new C6 RS6 Avant

Re: RS to R35 GT-R
Now that I know how economical it is, I will continue to drive in "lunatic map". Let's not pretend that these cars are bought to save money
Had a winter prep today by Russ @ Reflectology. Amazing work as per usual. Thanks a million Russ; you're work is so good, I don't think I ever want to wash a car again!!!

Re: RS to R35 GT-R
nice - why no tyre dressing?
unless you were going to drive it after the detail, then I know why not

Re: Re: RS to R35 GT-R
The book says not to use it as it can affect the tyres. Not that bothered about tyre dressing anyway.DuncS3 wrote:nice - why no tyre dressing?

Re: RS to R35 GT-R
Brand new tyres dont really need any dressing but the way these things drive its understandable why Nissan say no dressing.....suppose its like sticking a tyre dressing on a motorbike tyre....and i must admit I have had 35 profile tyres on an Impreza previously and the dressings dont seem to be effective...I will be getting a product in the next few weeks that is not a dressing but a protector so no worries regarding the unsightly splatter that some give off....
Re: RS to R35 GT-R
ahh...so thats why I nearly ended up in a ditch in my M3 the other week then
