The GTS is mostly a trim level, aside from the 15 HP bump and more aggressive bumpers there aren't any real technical differences. But the GTS is a bit more special and has most of the options you'd want as standard.

You can remap a Cayman S to deliver GTS power (plus a bit) no problem.

I would say the gts is an S with some desirable options as Standard.

I think it has 15bhp more which is the square root of bugger all

Not heard if new gts will be four or six myself.

Ours been in dealer today and even they've told me to keep ours !

I would say gt4 is closer to the R but they are bonkers money

Another installment of the "I fell of the slippery slope" series.

I've solved the one thing that my Cayman always lacked. Power. Took it to Ehresmann in Germany who took out the 3.4 and fitted a 3.8 engine with the "X51" powerkit (the one that was used in the 991.1 GTS)

The result was 444 PS at 7500 RPM, limiter is now at 8000. Performs roughly like a 992 Carrera S except it struggles to get away somewhat while I have the stock 20 inch rear tires on. Not a million miles off the GT3 either...

Best 0-60 MPH so far is 3.6s but that's with some pretty significant wheelspin still.

It wasn't, no, but actually the value wasn't bad at all compared to what Porsche charges for N/A horsepowerz... got a couple grand for my old engine too which will live on in a German race car.

Certainly less expensive than swapping to a 718 GT4 and my car is now quite a bit faster than those.
