Ordered Boxster GTS today, could be quite a wait though.

Sounds nice Jay, when do you expect to take delivery?

Order placed but cannot give even an estimate of when it will arrive. Allocations are sold for this year, hopefully I'm somewhere near the top of next year.
Not in any rush at all, just means I can save a bigger deposit.
Still got my trusty Vivaro and my 675 Triumph to bomb around in/on.

Have been given a driving day at circuit somewhere on Silverstone as part of the order, sounds really good.

Did they mention that the Boxster was due a facelift early next year?

Yes they did.

Only very small cosmetic changes he said. New Boxster is due around late 2018 / early 2019.
He couldn't tell me what those small changes were either. As there is no allocation for vehicles, there is no new spec details.
I'm sure it will all come clear in the next few months.

Call from dealer today. No allocation for 2015 but always a possible slot after September. This could be quite a wait.

Have called 5 dealers in total, all allocation has gone.
It gives me chance to save a bigger deposit, so it's not all bad.

Never owned a car from new, so it's a pretty big thing for me. It's such a lovely thing to drive, can't wait to get it on the twisty's round Derbyshire. The noise is properly addictive too, not that the RS4 was boring though.

My dealer had one which was a spec changeable cancelled order and he was trying to get me in to it.

It didn't warrant the uplift from what we have (£62k spec) for little.

If I was ordering new again then it would be a GTS though
