F Type R AWD

Borrowed one of these for the weekend and was very impressed. F Type R AWD Convertible
Extremely loud stock exhaust- possibly louder than a c7 rs6 with non-res milltek. Exhaust sound seemed to have a mind of its own though. Sometimes it would pop and back like crazy on lift off where other times it did not.
With 550bhp it def seemed a little quicker than the rs6 but this could be just down to size difference.
Lots of really positive attention from Jo public (unlike when I drove my mates Yellow Porsche GT4-where on one occasion a bystander shouted your car is F****NG S**T and within half an hour of that I was called a WA**ER)
Traction was great being AWD
A little disappointed with build quality and would be concerned upon future reliability, but apart from that a big thumbs-up and would def recommend one!

Who did you borrow from? Quite fancy one myself to be honest.

F-Type R was top of my list when I started looking but it's just too small to be a main car/only car. The boot is literally a shelf and it feels pretty enclosed when you're driving, but oddly when I test drove one I felt like the outside of the car was a lot bigger than it looks too - seat felt too high and the car just felt wide, could have just been the length of the bonnet making it hard to place the corners.
I still think it's the best looking new car on sale right now, and the sound is just phenomenal.

Borrowed it from Thrifty! Got a really good deal on a 2 day hire.
I do agree that it does feel cramped inside and the rear view mirror obstructs quite a chunk of your forward view.
I had the convertible and great when roof was down but when up very claustrophobic! But my does it look and sound the "dogs!"

Do you mind saying what deal you got from them? PM is fine even as I have been looking at them from thrifty recently and a wee bit of ammo for a deal never a bad thing.
