Fair enough, but it genuinely does nothing for me. Please watch the following video and let me know what happens:

The noise that Jag makes would snap knicker elastic at 50 yards as Clarkson used to say

Its a farkin old mans motor. My great granddad would go mental for it though
What makes it an old mans motor? Shocked anyone would overlook any car based on an old stereotype (that wasn't reliabilty/service related).

Jaguar make some of the sexiest cars on the road IMO, just look at them!
2009 Audi RS 6 Saloon V10 - 420mm Ceramics, Keyless, Soft Close, Adaptive Cruise, Glass Sunroof, Blinds, Twin Pane & UV, Freeview & DAB, High Beam Assist, MTM bits, Audi Exclusive Bits, MRC, Milltek, GYEF1 ASY2's, Bluetooth streaming music to AMI mod - 753PS, 1021 NM
2016 Audi S3 Saloon S-Tronic, Sepang, B&O, Tech Pack w/connect, 19" 5 Arm Wing Alloys, Comfort Pack, LED Light Pack - Company Car

Or was that a rhetorical question?

That makes no sense. There are plenty of OAP's driving mercs, bm, Audi, Volvo etc

Jaguars image was badly tarnished under poor ownership from Ford and BMW with a mix of poor cars, poor design and poor engine choice.

But the history of the brand is very rich in sports cars and sports saloons.

Under tata ownership it is being allowed to design beautiful cars with emotion and passion and with investment they can back that up with class rivaling economics and driver engagement

And above all it is a British success story, so I do sometimes despair at the continued piss and slippers stereo type which IMO is to a large extent ignorant of the reality, but accept you cannot please everyone and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

It'd be good if we could see figures on the buying demo age group bracket compared over a 40yr span (markers for every 5yrs).
No matter where you go, there you are.

But expensive luxury cars can only be bought by men with means

It's only new products like the XE and F-PACE which list at £2Xk+ which allows younger buyers.

Before my dad was 35 he'd had around 4 jags and 3 Daimlers. This is going back 35-40 years when they were amazing cars, I think they're turning things around again at jag and more and more young folk will be buying them. Only new Audi I'd buy is the C7 RS6 if I'd got the money, but even that has a hideous arse. The new jags are stunning! Not sure how their stealers are compared to Audi, but I've never been to a good Audi one yet.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!
