Chunky, a week in and have to say I absolutely love it.

The thing that has completely surprised me is that while it's a big long car and a heavy car (1,880kg) it really does not drive or feel like a big heavy car in the way I am used to barge like C5/C6 and even B8's!

It feels nimble and the cabin and drivers seat and dash really cosset you. The high trans tunnel bolstered seats and dark rear glass make you forget the hearse that lies behind

The steering is really communicative, light enough to be comfortable but direct enough to place the car and enough feedback to tell you what the car is doing and where the grip it

This is my first RWD car having been used to quatrro Understeer and have to say I love the fact the arse end is alive...with such a long wheelbase it's very easy to get some yaw going and move the car and so adds to a feeling of fun and alive in the car.

It's very quick and actually quite suprising how well it pulls past 100 yet remains totally refined and smooth, looking forward to taking it cross continent

Overall I'm still looking forward to every journey in the car

44MPG on my commute also!

Yeah, there's a lot to be said for RWD cars and the balance they have. Sounds like you are really gelling with it DK. I saw one today in the same colour but a saloon. It looked really menacing, I had to do a double take to check it wasn't the supercharged V8.

Yes you are right I would not buy a brand new £50k E segment car of any brand, were it not a company car.

But I would buy a Jaguar F TYPE Coupe R in a heartbeat

I'm sure most people would
