XFR
Re: XFR
Yep, not possible to make them in RHD AND all-wheel-drive at the same time, due to the exhaust manifold being in way.
Not sure if 'loon and touring are available in RWD only for the UK market.

Not arguing that at all as I struggled to find them on the BMW site but I am going on the exact words of the owner and the fact that when I pulled off and he did his own traffic light grand prix, he shot off like a scalded cat without so much as a hint of wheelspin. I even had the window open to listen for it. Could have just had very impresive traction/launch control perhaps?imacool wrote:Yep, not possible to make them in RHD AND all-wheel-drive at the same time, due to the exhaust manifold being in way.

Well, the 500bhp figure sounded a bit too optimistic for a diesel....

Yep cheers was in reply to the OP.
The SV8 with the previous generation supercharged 4.2 is the bargain. Already has the killer alloys, you could fit a plate and the later front bumper (both of which you could sell on when you sold the car) and you'd have a very fast flash motor for Focus money. Rare though, wasn't on sale long before the 5.0 XFR arrived.

Would be one very special diesel, torque would rip up the tarmac.imacool wrote:imacool wrote:Looks like they all (triple turbo diesels) are four-wheel-drive, 3litre engine, 381bhp, 546 lb ft torque. Re: XFR
I just don't get any pleasure from driving diesels, even if they are powerful. It just seems like you are fighting the engine all the time rather than working with it. Could just be me.

Re: XFR
They have great torque but short rev band so constantly changing if you are racing. I can't see me having a diesel as a main car.

Re: XFR
I hated the XJ at first, but they have really grown on me. I would love one to do long trips.

Re: XFR
They're the best looking car in their class IMO. But cannot touch the A8 for quality and
refienment. Have been using a brand new A8 recently. I picked up my friend at Jag who'd been working on an XJ and when he went back the next day said the XJ felt crap (originally he thought it was the bomb) after having spent time in the A8, he said the Jag isn't even in the same league. His brother who also works there and his job it is to asses quality was touching
the components and saying you never get something of the same quality/feel or strength in a Jag as in this Audi.

Re: XFR
Hello people
Long time... I really need to do some reading and catch up with what's going down on the forum..
I had a play with one of these the other day... Maybe it was the driver being a bit cautious but the RS6 did me proud

Re: XFR
There is a silver xf-s down Leamington Spa with a kit on that makes it look like an xfr, he is very cautious in the rain. I pushed him upto 85 in the van then passed him, he was not pleased.

Spires Automotive are the boys to be asking for any Shaguar tuning. They really know what they are doing and are local as well! (Leicestershire)!chunky79 wrote:Really? The XJ is more of an old mans motor, the XFR is the cool mans car. XKR is a nice motor but will be pushed to the side once the F type shows it's face. I'm really hoping to get an XFR in 2013, just need to find a good indie and tuner.
Edit, just noticed you said when you ''grow up'', can't see you ever getting an XFR then.

They seem to have good feed back via the jaaaag forums, but they also seem pretty expensive due to them being the main mod guys. Will be nice when the facelift prices come down a little more.
