I know I keep going on about it I really do love the RS4 and bought it thinking I could afford it.
The fuelling of the car is just affordable £150 a week it's just when it needs fixing 9/10 it costs more than I realize and put it off for as long as poss which I think is not good for the car.
So I am thinking of downgrading to this which I can afford as I can get the parts from my old work colleagues.
Peoples thoughts please as am still not 100%

No point stretching yourself too much financially. I don't know your situation I.e. mortgage, family, other interests etc but I would say get what you can afford without finding it too painful. One reason for me buying a new S4 over an RS4 was running costs. With the new S4 I know where I am each month, with an RS4 it's just what if this goes wrong or this. Yes the S4 costs me a lot each to purchase but at least I know where I am.
There are obviously many other factors to consider. Hope that helps a bit.

The car is up at £16800 they have said straight swap.
It does mean I'd lose a lot on the car so would prefer to sell privately or better still to a member on here.

I drove one when i worked for BMW and was well impressed with it.
This car is unfortunately the other side of the country Bristol so would be a road trip to borrow.

Pity, looks nice but not special enough for me.
Not sure I would be too happy at £150 per week on fuel too though.

I know £150 a week for fuel in the RS4 where as it would cost me half that if not less in the D3.
The D3 isn't as well spec'd either

how much did u pay for your RS 4?
if you are considering a straight swap I'd say your maths is not very good

Thats the thing compared to what I paid for it I would lose a far bit doing a straight swap so would prefer to sell it privately, the only problem with that is if I can sell it privately quick enough to get this car.
