New M3 & M4 revealed

Post by stevo55 » Tue Sep 22, 2020 12:30 pm

Leak happened on Reddit prior to today’s official launch.

Official New M3/M4 (G80/G82) Photos leaked early https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showt ... ?t=1759793

I was really really really hoping that the pigs snout grille wasn’t going to make it to the M’s. No such luck.
Wtf has happened to BMW styling and design?! Normally these things grow on you but on the smaller cars (ie non SUV) it just looks sh1te imo. The 7 series is a mess for example, no matter how many times I see it. It just about gets away with it on the X’s.
I was potentially looking at these as a replacement for the RS5 in the future. Don’t think I’ll bother now. Between this and the forthcoming C63 being a 4 pot (allegedly) it seems Audi need to hold the line.
I’m sure they will be absolute weapons in the driving department but that front end!! ImageImageImageImage

M8: looks amazing
M5: looks amazing
X5M/X6M: look good and big grille works

But this? It’s a ‘bold’ move and am sure they will be epic cars but I can’t find an angle that looks right.
And that’s before we get to the side on rear profile......wtf?

And just for extra bonus we have the M Performance parts....this is genuine by the way and not a joke.

Looked better in the flesh than I thought. Depends if you like the X6 or not-I never saw the point but clearly there is a market otherwise the GLE coupe etc wouldn’t exist.

Yeah, I’m in the former camp. I don’t see the point and they look noddy.

What I find amusing is that most people think they look awful, but head to a BMW forums and you hear nothing but good things.

People won't hear anything bad said about the brand they love, despite the obvious slapping them in the face :-)
