In real terms it's only marginally more expensive than the F10 M5 as the new F90 gets around £12-13k of kit as standard that were options on the F10.

Kit such as 'full leather' that was £6k on the F10, 20" wheels as standard, HK sound system, surround view & comfort access among many others, so this bridges the gap well. Still hardly a cheap car, but no more expensive than the AMG E63S & actually cheaper than a similar spec'd C7 RS6.

Well that was shortish lived. Lost interest in proceeding 2 weeks ago, so released the build slot & my deposit being returned.

Kind of a shame really & already somewhat regretting it with the new press reports now filtering through, but think i'll bide my time & see if 18/24mths after launch BMW start offering similar crazy deals like they did with the F10. Also now the 992 is about to break cover, the timing may be right to finally scratch the Turbo S itch.

Edited to say i couldn't delete the thread so made sense to update instead.

Performance wise the new M5 and the latest E63S AMG are showing staggering figures....0-60 in 2.8 secs (2.9 for the AMG) and 0-100 in 6.6 is seriously impressive. The next RS6/7 will really need to dig deep to raise the bar further:

Bear in mind those are 0-60mph and we are normally given the 0-62mph figures which for the C7 were about 0.2 seconds difference. So that would translate to 3.0 seconds and 3.1 seconds.

The 0-100 times are still staggering and when you consider that we are talking nigh on 2 ton luxury saloons stock (seem to recall a tuned C6 did a 6.8 run on 0-100 mpg) it shows how far we’ve moved along.
So come on Audi Sport -now the competition have showed their hand it’s your turn.....

You’s 2 are talking rubbish. Back in the 80’s a DeLoren only had to reach 88 mpg and it could travel through time. Now that’s fast.

UGH. There’s an MRC loon that’s cropped up as being possibly sold and the temptation is massive-not too sure I could go back to living at the petrol pumps again though! It’s shockingly bad in the current drive (A45) but the C6 is on a whole new level of pain...

My old car, do it. Crazy fast and how a C6 should of been out of the box!
