Yawn
If only you were correct, but sadly not.
The difference (which the o/p has conveniently over stated) is not but should be relative to purchase price. The early C7 RS6's which most buyers paid £80-90k 2 years ago are the ones at mid 50's now, however the M5's hit the road for about £20k less than the RS6's so bingo you have a difference.

It's not, see above. Comparing apples to pears pricing is a little silly.
Cheapest F10 M5 on Autotrader is an early 2013 (from an unreputable dealer) with 44k miles. Next cheapest is a 2011 car & most of the cars in the low £30's are 2011/2012 &/or have fairly big mileages. The more sensible 2013/63 plate cars are just under/just over £40k.
The 2013 C7 RS6 cars the o/p is stating are no older than 63 plates as the F10 M5 was launched 2yrs before the C7 RS6.
That said, the C7 RS6 has done pretty well considering, however when you look at both cars OTR price vs. used price now, the difference is non existent.

Yeah, cause the M5s are known for strong residuals. Have you ever even owned an RS?

I know and that was my point. Doesn't stop the car mags marking the RS6 down though as it isn't as 'playful' as it's RWD German rivals.

Yes thanks. See above.
Is what it is. The M5 OTR was roughly £18k less than the C7 RS6 up until Audi started more heavily discounting the C7, so no surprise that difference filters through to residuals. The RS's fair no better or worse when the real world prices are used.
Cheaper to buy equates to cheaper to sell, nothing unusual about that

Totally agree & factor in a much lower cost to own & it becomes even more interesting.
Would I swap my M5 for an equally spec'd C7 RS6? Not a chance, but had the RS6 been the same cost to own when I ordered my M5 then I may well have selected the 4 rings option.

I just don't understand why you hang out on an RS enthusiasts forum when you owned your last RS approx 10 years ago, openly believe your F10 M5 to be a better car than the C7 RS6 and have no intention of buying one any time soon. The porka is a great choice for you imo.
I don't even think its to push your "friends" shitty DMS maps anymore.
Weird.

Look sunshine, i can hang out wherever I feel like & given I've owned a couple of RS's over the years as well as several other Audi's, I'm as entitled as you or anyone to be here. I also frequent PH but have never owned a Honda Accord & can't fly an aircraft.
Where exactly have I said the M5 is better?? Do you read the words in people's posts or just select random words to form your opinion of what was posted? I prefer the M5, but we can likely both agree that in no way does my opinion make it better or worse.
Odd you should bring DMS into this, but you'll find my friend that several RS owners were very grateful of the GB I organised for them a few years ago. I'm truly sorry that you clearly missed out.
Lastly & more in a wind your neck in kind of way, your leader doesn't own an Audi S or RS but hey ho
