Re: BMW i8 sound
How readily available are aftermarket exhaust systems on the i8?

Re: BMW i8 sound
Is there any sound trickery in an RS4 or RS6? I was convinced there was when I first got my RS6. You can clearly hear the sound of the exhaust from inside the car, but when you open the window it doesn't get louder. Maybe I have hearing issues, but it gets quieter. As if some of the engineered-in noise escapes through the open window.
Currently running:
18 plate Lamborghini Huracan Performante (5.2l of V10 naturally aspirated craziness)
67 plate RS6 Performance (fully loaded)
66 plate Range Rover Autobiography (for wafting around)
16 plate Mini Cooper S convertible (lots of fun but rather skittish when thrashed)
Favourite car ever owned:
1971 Citroen DS21 - The Goddess (pure art on wheels)

Re: BMW i8 sound
Don't know about the current rs4 but all 3 previous generations had no fabricated sound trickery and neither does the RS6.
Re: BMW i8 sound
Estate cars do have a tendancy to amplify the sound within the cabin.
