My F10 M5 VBOX Stats!!

Bought this device a month ago so i could get some real world performance data following the application of the DMS Stage 2 tune. Decided to try it out this week & after some faffing about with the VBOX App, managed to finally get a decent run & some rather exciting figures. Naturally the conditions are hardly ideal with low ambient temps & my private test track wasn't totally empty, but i had a bash with the following setup & got the following results.

Car was in D3 (full auto but most aggressive shift setting), throttle response was in Sport Plus, all other settings such as Steering & Suspension were in Comfort mode & EDC (Traction Control) was fully on. Given the environment i couldn't attempt an actual launch so just hit start on the VBOX & buried the throttle. Results were somewhat astounding, more so given my car broke traction from the off & again from 1st-2nd, 2nd-3rd & 3rd-4th.

Results:

0-60mph: 2.71secs
0-100mph: 6.21secs
30-70mph: 3.10secs
30-130mph: 9.81secs
50-70mph: 1.60secs
60-130mph: 7.51secs

0-100ft: 1.84secs @ 49.1mph
0-200ft: 3.05secs @ 64.5mph
0-400ft: 4.86secs @ 86.4mph
0-1/8 mile: 6.71secs @ 105mph
0-1/4 mile: 10.5secs @ 132mph

I can't imagine what the outcome of a decent launch with warm rubber & better conditions would offer up but i'm over the moon with my half arsed 1st attempt.

Most surprising are the standing start times as i knew the car was devastatingly quick in the mid range, but had no idea she'd pull so well low down. Me is a very happy chappy.

Even more impressive when you consider this is just mapped, no exhaust/cat tweaking, and RWD!!

Limiter coming off next month so quite keen to see what she can do top end. Got a sneaky feeling she won't quite crack a true 200mph as i'm told BMW have a hard coded limiter on the M-DCT transmission which is inaccessible, but perhaps with a tailwind it may be possible.

Get involved DK, i can sense you're leaning. Totally different animal to the E60.

Not much different but it's 12% off an M5, although 20+% is achievable on the M6 & M6GC. Mine's even cheaper as got in at the right time, but sadly those deals are long gone:(

I get a mad deal on these through an employee scheme. Just gone down to £549, no deposit, 18 month contract, 8Kpa! Been tempted but other personal factors are stopping me committing to the 18 month tie in. Shame.

Nice one. I got in when the £499 deals were about (that was with a deposit though), although i chose a 3x35 with 13kpa so mine's a little higher.

As an example, when i rejected my original F10 M5 BMW Finance had to invoice BMW UK over £8k to make up the difference between the deal i got in Sept 13 & the best deal available in May 14. Kind of induces a gloat knowing i'm basically making money on this car as the costs won't even cover the depreciation over the 3yrs & 40k miles i'll have her.

Amar. £549 a month. No brainer.
You will regret it.
C6 is good, but times move on.
Bank the cash and after 18months buy a V10 R8
