Where on earth are you getting that figure from??doodlebug wrote:Nah, C6 makes 1000Nm with map alone.
This is what MRC quote so unless the C6 RS6 is making 870nm stock (which i'm pretty sure it doesn't) then 1000nm from a remap aint happening according to MRC
RS6 C6 V10 5.0 Bi turbo £800 £990 £1400 +70ps/130nm
As for uplift, whilst i agree that my base was considerable compared to Mfctrs stated, only so much peak outputs available so the delta will naturally alter but peak won't. This point also won't move so the MRC quoted figures will be XYZ increase over Mfctrs stated Outputs & not actual so if the C6/7 RS6 is 50bhp higher stock then the exact same will apply.
The C6 RS6's with more than 700bhp have had far more than just remaps & given the stock torque is 650nm & MRC quote a 130nm gain, i struggle to see where you get 1000nm from.
As a perfect example, look at the C5 RS6 + RS6+. The + had a higher base output but with Stage 1 map had the exact same peak outputs.
I'm no expert on custom tuning, but the gains being discussed are considerable & an output of just shy of 700bhp & 590lbsft/800nm from purely a remap is hardly shabby. I'm sure other tuners could eek more here & there but i prefer airing on the side of caution so am not after headline figures.
The C7 RS6 torque increase figure looks wildy adrift, but i've not seen any tuned ones so can't really comment however they're at 560 bhp & 700nm stock so according to the MRC website power would increase to 680bhp & torque to 950nm from a stage 2 tune. I do somewhat doubt the torque increase as that's a 40% increase, but perhaps it's possible in which case quite astounding
