Looks nice, Footlong is raving about his. Wouldn't you rather a rear wheel drive car for track though..?

Very underrated, quick too and easy to tune, don't you fancy going down the Clio route like Sonny?

Potential Track Car?

I did consider one of these but the 4 doors put me off, saw it as extra weight.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

This may sound a bit gay but do you not think you would have more fun in something like an MX5?

Seem to be the cheap track car of choice at the minute.

Won't have ultimate speed but possibly more fUn aroUnd the twisties?

Quite a few track driving schools use MX5's for good reason - they are easy to drive RWD cars that when pushed on track are surprisingly good. For the corporate point of view, they are reliable and cheap to fix and maintain.
Unlike anything mid mounted or super light like a caterham they are very easy to slide and catch so as a training tool they are ideal.

However for pure kicks on track... not so sure.. They really are under powered and in many instances you'll spend too much time looking in you mirrors.
Mk1 and Mk2 MR-2's are excellent and cheap with a bit more fun added in.

I don't like FWD for track cars purely down to the way they are "backwards" from everything I'm used to - catching a slide for example is full power and turn the wheel out of the spin... completely counter intuitive to me where in RWD that'll end up backwards... in a hedge... on fire. ;)

its all good having first dibs, but you got to have the money to back it up !

anyway, a £3k track car does not mean the C6 has to go ....

but if an R8 V10 comes up ... hmmmm ... whats a man to do !

MX5 are very good ad have there own race series at the moment.

I never went for one purely for the looks and I wanted a hatch and not a can so it can be entered into the Tin top trophy ( at some point).
