Its because the more awesome awesomeness of their Kiwi neighbours rubs off on the country.

All very simple really.

It's a tough country and growing up there means we're exposed to a lot of stimulus, so we develop differently. We grow up very close to nature, the ocean, the bush and there's a billion things to do. We learn to back ourselves, we learn to keep our cool and we certainly don't do things by halves. There are a lot of extremes in Australia, the place just tends to challenge you without you knowing it.
The education is good.
The weather is exceptional.
The food is excellent.
The lifestyle is generally very good.
There is no class system.
The culture is very very young so our identity is relevant, it is easier for us to identity with the modern world.

...it's not so much that we're awesome, it's just that we come from an awesome country. We're just a product of that, we are the gross national product.
No matter where you go, there you are.

...I'd say it's best to mention the British Empire anytime up until the late 18th century, however, it's now 2012...

...and my well rehearsed answer is: to earn loads of money, pay no tax and shag all your women.
Well that's the theory, the reality is my tax bill is mountainous, corporation tax alone is downright rude. I've been with the same Unglish girl for 7 years with a hellspawn on the way. That said I do really love it here but you need to remember, I can go home whenever I want as I have two passports... which makes me feel sorry for you poor bastards. :)

Aus comes a close, close second to living back home in the West Indies. I loved everything about Austraila when I last went there, amazing country. I too love having the option to be able to run up a ton of debts then disappear home on my second passport ;)

You can do the debt thing over here by the way.... without going into exile!! Its called going bankrupt! My mate ( I use the word loosely) actually has a better standard of living, car holidays available cash, than he did before he went bust..... Drives me mad as by the time Ive paid Corp tax, personal tax vat etc etc I've prob paid his little wifes credit card issues off every bloody year x3 :x grrrrrrr while he lives the life of riley! The sytem over here actually makes it v hard to be honest!!

Back on topic ...... Im tempted for a holiday ( if I can fiddle my tax return) ...... but apart from Holdens..... do they do cars???? Dont they cost tthe earth to have and run over there...... like being a 6 owner doesnt anyway! :)
